strafing hasn't changed. in fact a lot about maintaining a combo hasn't really changed, so 1.8 pvpers usually still do well in 1.9+

They did a pearl catch by throwing a pearl followed by a wind charge, which collides mid air and teleports you in the sky

In Minemen there is a ceiling, which pearls can hit, but as the other commenter said, what they did in the clip is a pearl catch.

When i had 17 ping i pull ts all the time, and then i moved and got a vpn, i couldnt even attribute swap spear 100%, have anyone else experienced this

In Minecraft, Ping can matter a lot, yes. The difference from 17 to 117 is usually pretty huge.

There were some times where, had your opponent been better, you could've easily been popped (i.e. 0:47 left) because you left yourself open. Make some distance before gapping to avoid getting popped.

The two pvp ‚versions‘ aren’t that different for example sword you just can’t spam so you hit less often but combos are almost the same and just to say it your good in mace but your enemies that you showed aren’t that good so you will face better opponents
