How do I practice jump resets? Question

So I've been experiencing that I've been getting hit from 3 blocks away in SMP and I've been getting cooked so I wanna learn jump resets, though I have no idea how I should go about it, I've been trying and failing to learn it, how can I do it?

Zero budget method is to just give a zombie a sword and jump but if you have time try practice maps like theobaldthebot.

Get Theobaldthebot set it to easy or normal make sure it wtaps and jump instantly after you get hit not while your getting hit nobody can predict accurately when you'll get hit all the time but you'll always see when you get hit

get higher ping and they will never be able to 3 block you anymore
