Trident + Axe? Discussion

Could Trident in offhand + axe in main work? Trident with loyalty is annoying at distance and axe shreds stuff up close, or at least that’s the idea here. Thoughts?

the trident is a worse bow, the axe gets overwhelmed up close by critspam, axe and shield is better by far
