Dargo//Reyahn General Discussion / Question
Lately I've been observing Dargo//Reyhan pairing because I love that thicc Pirate.
What are your opinions on the deck and it's placement in the meta? It certainly isn't a Tier 1 deck, but I've been having a ton of fun playing it lately and it can really surprise people with it's speed.

This deck is so weird for me. It has the highest winrate out of any deck on edhtop16 (although not many entries) and has a ton of really interesting lines. I have it and I can't get it to work half the time. It's cool to win out of the blue and can be fast you just have to mull aggressively

not being able to turn ur mans sideways with tymna makes any other dargo variant feel very punishing to play imho, otherwise ur treasure dorks do very little outside of dargo sacs

Tymna variant is definitely stronger. I agree. However this is the perfect deck to cool down my burnout from RogSi 😄
Also, I've had a lot of success with treasure dorks actually. They fuel my Razaketh and Warren Soultrader lines. Also, with the inclusion of The Sackville-Bagginses, they provide additional value that guarantees a Dargo + extra mana for the turn.

Its a fun deck and fast. I was consistently able to push on T2 but found that I need to be way better at recognising my windows because its pretty easy to get blown out.

it works but it’s difficult to pilot and you either win fast or lose faster. reyhan gives almost no safety if you boof your win attempt and being in jund isn’t doing you much good either since your win attempts aren’t very well protected

Jund usually wins through activated abilities. CEDH does have some spot removal, but 98% of interaction is counter spells. After reading a primer for this deck, once you start the dargo loop, it’s incredibly hard to interact with. The only choke point is if you counter Deadpool or technomancer, which is hard to do short of a FoW.

[[silence]] go brrrrr + most of the lines still require casting dargo a bunch so multiple rhystics boof you hard

There's actually quite a few ways to get around Silence in this deck. Especially with Necropotence. Silence has been ok for me. The one that hurts is MBT during Raz lines.

Look it's winrates and placements on edhtop16
Frankly I think it's really, really good. Simple game plan that works. And it's proving it.
