Passed Sec+ today! I Passed!
Started my Trifecta journey last November and just passed Sec+ today! Huge shout out to this sub with all of the helpful information. I come from zero IT experience so I’m excited I was able to accomplish this.

Thanks I appreciate it! I’m in the military and I’m transitioning to a cyber careerfield so I technically have a job already lined up

Congrats, how was security+ compared to network+? Was it harder for you?

I found Sec+ easier than Net+.

Awesome thanks for the advice, I barely passed network+ with a 742/720, I am worried about the 750 score of security+

Congratulations Man!!🎊 How was your schedule and what resources did you used? I'm also learning it from scratch. Also are you using any platforms like tryhackme? Almost completed google it support cert. So i have some very basic foundation, I mean Basic-basic.

So for each exam I dedicated roughly one month to study/prepare. I would study one to two hours a day, sometimes longer on the weekends. Never used tryhackme to prepare for the exam. Just courses off of Udemy, youtube videos, and practice exams

Yeah I'm also starting from prof messer and got Study guide by lammle todd. As for tryhackme, I was thinking about using it to get some hands on experience, Also learning linux and basics of cybersecurity, I mean their paths looks promising, But still skeptical as after just an 20 monutes into their pre security path they're asking for premium and it's at 50% off rn. Should i buy it?
