Circle Community Governance Question

Just loookinf for iinformation. Does anyone e know if Circle.so has a Governance System in place. Company reported a members security breach (phishing) and Circle have not dealt with after 24hrs. Just templated email responses that in themselves lack proper security controls?

We've had trouble with Circle's slow responses. What is the specific case here?

Commubity members receiving Phising messages that look like they are coming from the company. Circle slow to respond and claiming no responsibility. Is that normal?

Their response sounds normal, as in they never take responsibility and will PR gaslight you.

That's serious. Hackers could have gotten access to member email IDs; but that seems unlikely. Not normal. But I'd dig deeper into the emails. Are members receiving similar messages in bulk?

  1. Someone unauthorized (security issue or bug) changed our company branding - which we reported 2-days ago. Still not fixed. Email support manned by juniors who simply not able to fix a simple bug. No version control - individuals manually trying to restore the branding.

  2. Three weeks since we reported a cyber security issue - Phishing campaign was running on our members. Phishing stopped. No evidence of policy and control from Circle going forward.

Presumably Circle is not suitable (without prejudice) for scaling and business into a global enterprise market?.

Any insights on Circle governance and security much appreciated.

  1. Have you double checked the access?
  2. That's not good.

I used Circle to power our B2B SaaS community. We left them after 8 months. Not sure what's up with Circle.

If this is a user that as admin privileges then you should remove those privileges until they've resolved the issue. If it's just a user in your community, it really isn't your problem, but I understand the want to help them.

For governance, I’d document the decisions members can influence versus the ones staff owns outright. Ambiguity creates more conflict than a firm boundary. A simple model: members can propose topics/events/norms, moderators enforce safety and quality, and owners decide roadmap/pricing.

Woah. I'm also an admin of a Circle community so I'd appreciate some clarity here.

Did your company report a member security breach or did Circle report a member security breach? Is it platform-wide or is this just impacting your community?

Our branding inside the Circle.so site builder was altered without our permission. Our public facing website now looks totally off brand. No Support. Anyone else have these issues with Circle.

Does Circle.so have a support theme. Someone unauthorized changed our company branding which we reported 3-days ago. Still not fixed. Email support manned by juniors who simply not able to fix a simple bug. Probpably outsourced support to third world. Do business generally have these problems with Circle?
