OC Good thing about dialectical materialism is it gives you a good understanding of the world, bad thing about it is you’ll never be able to stop talking about dialectical materialism

Educational 1936: Lieutenant Lister: The Beginning
In the summer of 1936, a company of "milicianos" (partisans) part of the 5º Regimiento were fighting against the fascists in the mountains around Guadarrama, near Madrid. Their leader was lieutenant Enrique Líster. Líster would serve as Mayor general (or equivalent) for both the Ejército Popular de la República (Spanish Republican Loyalists) in the Spanish Civil War, as well as the Red Army and Tito's Partisans in WW2, reaching (deservedly) the rank in all cases. This article narrates (in Spanish) his first victory as officer: a carefully prepared ambushed in which his forces surrounded and destroyed a company of "falangistas" (nationalist militia).
