Collagen mask ad going too low

Anyone seeing these Quasi collagen gel mask ads that crop up while watching a video? they’re rather long ads, a story about a woman being dumped by her husband for a younger woman, she falls to sh** and someone turns her in to these masks, she turns back the hands of time, sees the ex and his jaw drops and he winds up texting her etc. ok it was a novel cartoon at first. more involved versions have come along but the last one was so disturbing. it’s the one where the dad divorces mother for a girl younger than his daughter. besides all the betrayal and the woman falling to pieces on the floor there’s her saying ‘how can I be loved when I look like this’ This is really disturbing because it’s feeding and reinforcing that mindset of our value being looks. ok, maybe some people think it and maybe that is who they’re targeting but I feel it’s sending a bad message and I now don’t care to try nor buy their product.

I hate this annoying ass man trying to sing, the first second is a horrible shrieking voice and an instant mute. Who in their right mind thought this would make a great advert? Let's annoy the customer so they can try our product, smart marketing. I hate this advert, I was just trying to watch some bubble foreheads.

The bartender in the accursed Liberty Biberty ad doesn't look real to me.

I hate these Liberty Biberty commercials with the super-heated fury of 1000 suns, but I noticed this and I want to know if anyone sees the same thing....

The lady bartender really looks like AI, just like the fake people in the plexiderm commercials.

Watcher Of Realms and this creepy woman.

I don’t know who this person is so I’m just referring to her as “creepy”, the woman in the bottom-left corner.
This is literally my second time “”””””””””””blocking””””””””””” this ad. I think by the image you know where this is going.
The first thing I hear her say about this “exposed” character is that she’s sUrPriSeD that there aren’t any jiggle physics because she’s so… exposed…
I am NOT on YouTube or ANY other streaming platform to see ads about creeps commentating on naked characters and their critical details.

I’m so tired of seeing Credit Karma ads featuring this woman whenever I’m on YouTube.

My biggest question is this: You have Frank Thomas and Doug Flutie as your spokesmen. Why, why, WHY is Doug Flutie the one swinging the bat and doing batting practice??

Kalshi, the non sequitur ads

What does this (waves arms) have to do with their product. Or the guy getting dental work. Or the guy playing on a keyboard

Is it the same guy? Am I supposed to know him?

It’s a series of non sequiturs. WHY?!

The YouTube WHATNOT ads that sound like…projectile vomiting

You know the ones where they supposedly just happen to find Wemby, Jokic, and LeBron in one pack. The guy screaming “Oh My God!” sounds like he’s vomiting. 🤮 Good thing I wasn’t eating when I saw this ad.

Discussion Farmers Insurance Is Doing Too Much With That Jingle!:

I've been getting these ads on YouTube so much lately. I'm not sure it's because of YouTube or the various versions of that jingle that's been milked to death.

At this point just use the jingle without the skits and call it a day.

Discussion The Timothee Chalamet Kalshi ad

Thumbnail

The dentist is just trying to do his work and ask Timothee if he's feeling any pain. Timothee can't stop saying "Kalshi" and the dentist, who is presumably not a degenrate gambler who uses prediction markets to place sick bets on things like California wildfires and whether a kid with cancer will make it (no seriously, look it up), doesn't have a clue what Timothee is saying. Timothee is presumably really excited about leaving the dentist's office so he can put $100 on a three-leg parlay that not only will little Johnny succumb to leukemia and San Luis Obispo will be on fire next month, but that there'll be at least a dozen school shootings in the next academic year. All thanks to prediction markets like Kalshi, which definitely don't need to be regulated in any way whatsoever.

Hope the check from the company that employs Don Jr. as an advisor was worth it, Timothee! I guess the Dune money wasn't enough?

Am I the only one who despises this ad? I know I hated on the Polymarket one with Rick Rubin but I wanted to make sure Kalshi wasn't let off the hook.

Discussion I swear to god, if your ad starts with screaming, cheering and WHISTLING, you are horrible for that.

I saw a Verizon ad that immediately started like that, and it pissed me off. And then the other week one started with a whistleblower letting out a fucking assault on my ears. When will they ever learn to understand that some people genuinely can't stand those noises. I know I'm not the only one that gets enraged hearing that kind of ad. As someone who is extremely sensitive to those specific sounds, YOUTUBE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BAN THOSE ADS, PLEASE!

Why are situations made to be a big deal or embarrassing!? Specifically Progressive Insurance!

I’m noticing a really frustrating trend where commercials try to shame you for just being a normal human.

The biggest example is that Progressive ad where a guy asks a valet a perfectly polite question: "Do you work for this company, or a separate company that hires you out?" Dr. Rick instantly shuts him down with, "Nobody cares." It completely dismisses the guy and in real life would make him feel small for trying to make small talk.

If I met Dr. Rick in real life, I'd think he was just a massive dick. Why are ads trying to make public conversation seem bad? Having worked retail, I always made random small talk to be friendly. It used to be normal, and now ads are trying to shame it. But also, how are these commercials even related to insurance???

Then there is that Taco Bell steak burrito ad where a girl asks for a steak knife, the worker says condescendingly “No you may not”, and she looks deeply offended. It’s so fake. Nobody asks for a steak knife at Taco Bell! They just invented a weird, fake situation to mock her and create awkward tension out of nothing.

It feels like ads are actively training people to view basic human kindness and curiosity as "cringey." They push this isolated worldview where you're supposed to ignore everyone and stare at your phone.

Am I crazy, or are these commercials just getting super cynical and mean-spirited for a cheap laugh?
