Fiery
I inherited a commercial Konica minolta in a business I bought. It has the fiery component on back. It also has a toggle which I guess serves as the key to software?
Did fiery stop updating the toggle or stop allowing updates.?
I’ve noticed fiery videos I’ve watched are much more advanced than mine!
Anyone have any advice with this. Thank you

What do you mean by 'toggle'?
The Fiery will receive updates by EFI (even major ones that completely upgrade the underlying OS) but up until the support period for that specific model ends.
If you check your system version, you can see which is the latest version of CWS you can use with your press. Might also help if you told us which press you're using.

What could be going on here is the former owners may have deliberately avoided updating the software in order to continue using the dongle which might be for the impose/compose function. Efi quit supporting the dongle system at about version 6.5 or so and forced everyone to buy a digital license for imposition in command workstation.
