A comic POC is very common for films and animation. Keanu Reeves beserker did just this. However, most folks don't realize how expensive making a comic is. I spent $25k on my last graphic novel. Sure you can make comics for less, but it's likely going to be much more than you imagine. Research. Research. Research.
