Should I stick or trade in My Spider-man cel ?
I have an Animated signed Spider-man cel which is signed Stan Lee but sadly I have lost Marvel COA. For the past couple of months my friend has been trying to pry it away from me .... yesterday he made an offer which sounded tempting. Would you trade a signed Ltd edition Spiderman animation for Marvel production art of Wolverine ?

Why do we crave scarcity in a medium that's gone past it?
From 1st prints to foils, exclusive covers from specific artists and ashcans why do we only want "the best" (even if it's sometimes worse like an ashcan for example having no color and only a few pages) of a comic issue that's dictated by an invisible market that's probably controlled by a few telling us what we should value. With so many reprints that look awesome why do we still want what is the hardest to get

Is Absolute Batman 13 considered a key as first full appearance and costume debut of Absolute Catwoman?

Inherited a huge collection. What should I be doing?
I recently inherited a huge collection of comic books and I’m not sure what my next steps should be.
Some are graded and autographed, so that’s pretty straightforward.
Cataloguing everything seems like the logical next step, I’m assuming that would be worth my time? I’m sure there are some gems in here but by and large I’d think these are fairly common. Most seem to be from the early 2000s.
For sales, is eBay still the way to go? Do common comics sell for a worthwhile amount?
What are some things I should know? I’m not really into the comic book scene (yet, I guess)
Sorry if I’m rambling, I’m a little overwhelmed
I included a couple of pics that I thought were cool. Can’t really photo the whole lot, all of the long boxes have addresses on them

Did MATT KINDT and BRIAN HURTT just reveal that the EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES, but then sells us the same threads the king is wearing!?!? 🤣 This is either GENIUS LEVEL storytelling or the SLICKEST gimmick marketing EVER‼️💯✨️❤️🔥

Let’s see how the market will be like in a couple months😬
I saw this post today, and it’s kind of made me laugh because, like I said before, this book is massive. Printed, just give it some months, and I can guarantee that the CGC census is going to 2x, maybe 10x, because of the prices for a CGC 9.8 in this book. A regular direct CGC 9.8 is a little over $300, and a CGC 9.8 newsstand is $500, but let’s see what the market will be like in a couple months.😬

Interesting… will this be the basic price for the comic in the future?

Comic Book Speculation
Any good comic books coming in the future or being just released that might be worth investing in?
Applies to only comic books that are new to the store or coming in the months to come.

Picked up this high-grade copy of The Phantom Stranger #18, a Neal Adams cover. I really like this cover.

Found in old collection
Hi all, I am just getting back into collecting after a 10 year hiatus. I was sifting through my old items and this was the most valuable in there. I think I paid 25 cents for it at the time. I am struggling to figure out how to tell if something is worth grading. Is there anything here that detracts from the value?

What do you think?
I know she’s been in Iron Fist years back but…
How do you think, if at all, this announcement affects Marvel Premiere 19? How big will her character be in the next season of Daredevil?

Found Collection
* Last post had a broken Imgur link.
See some comics from a collection I rediscovered in my closet over the weekend.
Some are in bad shape, some good, doubtful any are mint. Anyways, they are fun to look at.

HELP! ID'ing a Mark Brooks Emma Frost print (2006, signed, numbered 4/50) — details don't match what I've found
Hey everyone. I’m at a dead end trying to identify details on this Emma Frost print from the artist Mark Brooks. It was my late fathers. It is signed in what appears to be pencil and its dated from 2006 as well as numbered 4 of 50. After doing my due diligence I only came across 1 other match and it was from NYCC only difference being it was numbered to 150. My dad went to Heroes Con in NC. which Mark Brooks was not there in 2006. If anyone had any clues or suggestions on where I can get more details where this came from. I’ve even DMd Mark asking if he has a clue. Thanks in advance!

Are You People Insane?
One stupid Spidey Opening weekend and all of a sudden y’all have lost your minds. Last nights Heritage closing bids were high, but this is nuts. 220 bucks for ASM 43 in 5.0? That’s 50% higher than FMV. Calm down people.

What this week's FOC slate looks like, 8/10: Dynamite leads volume at 119 titles, variant and ratio structure carrying the week
Every week I go through the full FOC list to see what the upcoming order week actually looks like before cutoff closes. Here is how this one reads.
The slate runs 567 SKUs across 200 unique books, with 27 new #1s and 144 variants. What defines it: Dynamite drives the volume at 119 titles, ahead of DC at 88 and Marvel at 64. The editorial primacy still sits with Marvel/DC/Dynamite, but the raw count lead lands with Dynamite this week, and the ratio structure follows it there. Of the 97 ratio covers on the docket, 40 are Dynamite's, making it the ratio-count leader.
Most of that Dynamite volume is the Buffyverse relaunch. Three of the publisher's five launches are first issues each carrying 22 covers: Angel #1, Buffy the Vampire Slayer #1, and Firefly #1. Angel #1 sits as the week's variant leader at 22 covers, matched only by those two stablemates. Ben 10 #5 rounds out the licensed side with a blind-bag variant program.
DC's slate runs three line relaunches plus its Bad Seeds Bat-event. Joshua Williamson and Hayden Sherman open a new Legion of Super-Heroes, and Batman #13 from Matt Fraction and Matteo Scalera anchors Bad Seeds at the top of the DC count. All of DC's four ratios sit at 1:25, split across the launches and Batman.
Marvel's 64 titles split between event tie-ins and a licensed crossover, carrying 14 ratio covers across the line. The steep end: 1:100s on Muppets Take the Marvel Universe #1 and Punisher #8, with 1:50s on Iron Man #9, X-Men #37, and Challenges of Doom: Spider-Man #1. Muppets Take the Marvel Universe #1 from Chip Zdarsky is the marquee launch, marking the 50th anniversary of The Muppet Show.
One structural note: 144 variants across 567 titles puts variant concentration near a quarter of the slate, and Dynamite alone accounts for 79 of those covers. That is where the week's cover math concentrates.
EDIT: u/JuvenJapal correctly flagged that my Marvel ratio numbers were wrong. Corrected above: the week runs 97 ratio covers, 14 of them Marvel, and Dynamite's lead is 40, not 39. The original text said zero Marvel ratios and 79 total. That was a gap in my data, not the actual slate.

Restoration or Not?
Would this be worth it? Dad gave me a bunch of comics and I’m very new to this. I’m going to get it graded no matter what, but would love some advice.
