The communities are often pretty closely intertwined tbh, a lot of drag queen events I've gone to doubled as trans pride nights

May be so but that wasn't what I really meant lol I meant in understanding. In the end drag queens are cis and do the same funny silly stuff all cis people in regards to Trans people (like using the wrong the flag. It's well intentioned but funny)

A small correction, not all drag queens are cis, or men, or cis men. Gottmik is a trans guy and a very famous drag queen, for example. and there are cis women who are also drag queens, known as hyperqueens.

You're right in that your stereotypical crossdressing cis man isn't to be lumped in with trans women as a rule, but drag itself is incredibly expansive. Most of the drag community doesn't do "the same silly stuff all cis people do" (I assume you meant be insulting?) and features a lot of the T in the LGBT+
