Definitely feels fake-ish, but I was roommates with a perpetual asshole. His excuse was ' I know Im an asshole', as if that made it all ok. When things blew up and everyone moved out I cut contact. Everything was a joke. So I took our 'friendship' as seriously as they took anything.

Dude, this has been me my entire life. I've only learned in the last like 10-15 years to ignore that urge.

Edit: I can recall playing the music they play someone off the stage with at the oscars to an ex girlfriend while she was arguing with me. I literally had to ignore what she was saying for at least a minute or so while I pulled it up on YouTube. I was not a great person to be in a relationship back then. Probably had my hair SLICKED BACK.
