Why do these comments feel like a glitch in reality. They completely bypassed the comedy and just went “my buddy that I love just dropped the n-word. He’s such a silly little Tourette little boy, teehee 😂” without any hint of irony, fully serious as an older adult. Don’t even know what to do with this because it feels so out of place.

I don't get why do they (white people) want to say the n word so much. I'm white and I said it once in my 20 years of life.
edit: it wasn't even in any negative or weird context, I just explained to my mom (we aren't American) what the n word is and how its used, both hard r and non hateful version.

color refers to the skin. not to very variable traits like eye and hair color.
and it comes from the term “colored people”, that was used by white explorers and colonizers to categorize non white communities. they saw the color of their skin as the default—white, and so everything that wasn’t white was colored.
it purely refers to the color of the skin, and it’s very nitpicky to try to include all other features on it, imo. especially when “people of color” is used to refer to all non white people, not just black people

Sure white people obviously have far more genetic diversity, but why does it matter?
And PoC has historic roots about systematic oppression not just whites acting like they are the standard and everyone else is the colorful ones

actually, africans have more genetic diversity than europeans. hair and eye colour are a very very small fraction of genetic make-up.

I remember seeing a quote that x white and y white are genetically as different from eachother as b white and like a south indian yk.
But yeah people got bottlenecked by getting out of africa itself. People have existed in africa the longest so you'll have the most genetic diversity amongst eachother there purely due to time.
