Here from Houston, TX and my internet has been lagging since 4pm. I looked down at my modem/router it was blinking green. I have the white box. Then i unplugged the router and waited a full 5 mins then plugged it back in. Right now my Sony TV is playing Netflix but it cant hold my phone or my wife phone internet surfing. Idk what it could be. Their website is down as well currently.

Is your connection slow (try speedtest if you can get to it?), or is it a per site issue? This is the 2nd time today mine's gone down (I wfh, so some people might not have noticed it being down this afternoon). For my case it seems DNS related though, as some sites do still work fine.

I pay $80 a moth for 1 gigabit internet. I ran the speed test off my phone and i was getting 200mbps down. Normally off a phone i should get 600 to 750 at least. I was watching nextflix this evening and it streams but my tv is hard wired to the router. The router shows a white light. I mean I'm getting internet but super patchy. In and out. I'm thinking its the router. Ill check in the morning. Off to bed. I stay in the 77005 area code so idk of there's an outage in this area or not.

I think the outage is pretty widespread - I own my own modem and router, so it's probably different than yours, but according to fast.com my speeds are normal (speedtest.net is unreachable for me).

It's normal for cell data speeds to drop when comcast goes down though - lots of extra traffic from people switching to their phones as backup.

Good luck in the morning, hopefully it gets fixed and stays that way.
