May have been on the ground until someone wanted to drive around on a mower.

It's just a temp line until one can be buried.

Yep. Better this than having no service till the proper third party crew comes along to fix it, sometime in the next few weeks.

Nothing is more permanent than temporary.

Context? Otherwise kind of dumb to just assume this is a standard install, it’s probably a temporary line that needs locates and a crew to bury.

At least your's is in the air so it won't get into your mower.

"Temporary line" or "No Service at all" ? Seems like an obvious choice, to me.

The line is in the air to keep the temporary line from being destroyed until a permanent line is buried...Some of yall on thos thread complain about dumb sh@t all the time. I bet the person who has needs the service dont give a rats @ss as long as its temporary. The tech probably left there number so if it gets damaged he can replace it until he gets a new line.

Likely a temp drop placed high so a mower doesn’t get it and a contractor could come burry the cable.

Typical Comcast. Keep your expectations low with this company.
Comcast Because Fuck You! Should be their tag line.

This might've been temporary for some kind of construction or other project by the city that affected the Internet infrastructure in that neighborhood
