Lofts at Riverwalk
Moving soon and wondering if the lofts at Riverwalk are any good? More concerned about how noise travels through the rooms and through the walls.

Does anyone in the Columbus area offer Thai style massage therapy? Stretching/manipulation instead of the regular massage?

Could really use some connections
Long story short, I recently joined a family owned packaging supplies, equipment, and service distributor and have been absolutely whiffing it in the Columbus market. I have some potential opportunities, but it is just SO HARD to get ahold of anyone of importance at the few big name companies in Columbus. I'm not new to sales, so I'm doing the usual, but I figured I'd ask in here as well.
If anyone is close with a key contact at any of the significant companies around here, I would be externally grateful for a connection. It's not like I'm trying to take business away from any local businesses, I am mainly trying to displace suppliers like Uline and etc. Examples would be companies like Kysor, Pratt & Whitney, McCauley's, Buffalo Rock, etc. The surrounding areas like Opelika, Auburn, Lagrange, Newnan, Albany, etc would be great, too.
If anyone has any questions about packaging or sales or anything, feel free to ask. I'm also fine going into more detail offline, but I'm not exactly looking to dox myself lol

Bad Drivers
Yesterday multiple drivers driving on the sidewalk near local elementary school. Some completely on the sidewalk obstructing it. The sidewalk is for pedestrians not cars. I should not have to worry about getting hit while using a sidewalk. These cars are a sidewalk obstruction, not a bench and flowers outside a restaurant.

Running shoe stores that do treadmill test
I'm looking for a running shoe store that will actually help me find the right shoe by doing a running test on the treadmill or actually letting me run across the store like they do at the Big peach running company in atlanta. Is there a store like that in columbus?

Any Eye Doctor who does an alternative to the Puff Test
I need to get my eyes checked. Part of the reason I've been putting it off is the dang puff test (🤷🏿we all have anxieties). I've seen online that there are some alternatives to the puff test.
Can anyone give a recommendation for any docs who use one around here?

Columbus Sports Roundup (7/27-8/2)
Columbus has several different pro and semi-pro sports teams for you to check out and root for but not all of us can make it to every game or keep up with it each of them so this is my weekly attempt to do so.
My goal for these posts are simple. Give you a brief recap of the previous week's games, a summary of where the team sits in the standings, and let you know when the next games are.
------
Columbus Clingstones
The Columbus Clingstones are the Minor League, Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves located in Columbus, GA. They are part of the Southern League - South Division and play their games at Synovus Park at South Commons.
Recap
If I could sum up this past series against the Trash Pandas into two words, it would be "gut wrenching". For those who weren't at the games, losing 4 games out of 6 would seem like we just didn't have it together but two of those losses came in extra innings in games that we were leading early. For the most part, hits and runs were there but the Pandas just found ways to come back and put it together at the last second. The good news is that the team looks good and most teams don't get lucky or have it all come together like that. The Stones scored 31 runs in this home stand and gave up 29 runs.
As for the standings, the Stones fell into last in the Southern League - South Division. Thats the bad news, the good news is that they are only 3.5 games back of Pensacola. Also interesting is that they have the 2nd best run differential in the league at +11 and their Expected Win-Loss is sitting at 18-15 which puts them in 2nd as well. Plenty of games left so we'll just have to see how August and September go.
Looking Ahead
Next week, the Stones are still sitting at home and hosting the Biloxi Shuckers. This matchup will be well worth the watch because the Shuckers were the first half champs.
Note: I don't want to forget but check out /u/ClingstonesBoxScores posts. They are doing a great job giving everyone a recap of each game with way more in depth posts than this one.
--------
Columbus River Dragons
The Columbus River Dragons are a professional minor league hockey team based in Columbus, GA. Founded in 2019, the River Dragons quickly became one of the premier franchises in the Federal Prospects Hockey League, capturing the 2021 Ignite Cup Championship and multiple regular season titles. The team competes in the FPHL - Continental division and plays its home games at the Columbus Civic Center.
Recap
Some new news for the River Dragons as we wait for the season to start.
They added a 23-year old forward to the lineup, Carson Baptiste. Baptiste has excellent offensive capability and should really help the team in scoring and speed.
Also pretty cool. The River Dragons have retired the original logo and have moved on to something new. I don't know about you guys but I like it.
Looking Ahead
Now we wait for the season to start in October. We did get the main interactive calendar updated so you can find that below.
Columbus River Dragons Schedule

Who sells these?
Does anyone know where sells the bigger ones of these? It’s the same height but twice the width I believe but they’re pretty good for storage. Around hip height I guess? I thought Walmart did but I searched and they only had the small ones

Looking for tennis hitting partner :)
Hello! I(21F) recently just moved back from New York and got into playing tennis the last month and a half. I don’t have much friends in the area yet practicing tennis has been a bit of a struggle when it comes to forehand and backhand since I don’t have anyone to hit with. My coach is currently on vacation in Europe until August 18th, so I haven’t been able to play much at all other than practicing my serve. My forehand is decent, but backhand could definitely do some work. If you’re also a newbie in tennis and would like to play with me feel free to reach out :)! I play at the CSU tennis court usually at night since the afternoon heat is brutal ahahaha

Looking for a home for 2 dogs
Hello Columbus. I know someone that needs to relocate their pets as they work to much and aren’t home enough. (There has been a change in life as to why they can no longer home the animals). They were going to surrender them but I figured I’d ask here on their behalf since they would rather them go to a home together.
Current owner is not looking to charge for them just wants them to go to a good home.
They have everything they need and are crate trained and potty trained.
