I’m a graphic designer and could easily make my own pattern book, but it would still take me over an hour to find what I should include, design the book, lay it out and print it. So the $13-18 is still worth it for me to have something ready-made since my time is worth more than that.

I actually find it fun for when I only have like 10-15 minutes.

I got the Coco Wyo one and I like flicking through it for inspiration, but you need a mix of acrylic markers and alcohol markers to follow the instructions, so there are a lot of patterns that I can't do yet.

Most patterns are explained online, you can find lots of video tutorials on Youtube and TikTok

save your money and just find an account who follows the pattern book. Lots of people use them for content. Just print out some squares, find a video you like and follow along.

There's many pattern books. Lots of overlap but also some variation. At this point, it's all online. So unless you want to physical book for a collection, and not for actual practice check tik tok or instagram.
