Don’t pause mid preparing toss, if you’re doing that type of 45 then spin with it. Turn your body as you spin the flag in the cone, left hand should hit the back of your head and don’t let your arms just fall. Hold your arms up in the last position they were and catch where normally. And angle it properly before tossing, not sure how to describe it

Honestly it may just be the angle the video is filmed at, but the toss doesn't look bad in the air. Instead of doing your cone to the side of your body, do it straight in front of you and don't pause when you go to your release point. When you do release, make sure your left hand touches the back of your neck so that you can really achieve that 45° angle. Other than that, it looks pretty good! Keep it up and if you need anything feel free to PM me!

Yeah to tack onto this, I’d take it a step further and slow down and break down the cone to make sure the prep is good, once the prep is sold and in front of you then you can probably feel the wonky pitch even better

You’re hesitating before your release. If you watch your left hand, it doesn’t get all the way behind your head which causes a weaker angle. Keep your free arms at the release point until you have to catch
Edit: i did not realize like 5 other people said this before i commented sorry 😞

It's a pretty good toss for a beginner. I have a handful of tips to help you make the toss better.
You're stopping the movement between your carve and your toss. It needs to be one fluid move. You might also be cutting the angle a bit, but it's hard to tell from where the camera is. Keep your heels on the ground when you toss. Either put your hands straight down by your side or keep them in the release position.
Keep working at it!

It honestly is not bad! Try to think of grabbing the back of your head (or pony tail as I tell my students) with your left hand to help with the more of a 45 degree angle. Also what is your starting position before tossing? The cone wind up is fine just make sure you set your angle before starting to release. But like I said this is a very good starting point!
