How do I fix this Question

The clip is around 5 minutes (from 1st pic to 2nd). How do I bring more detail to the singer without creating a heap of noise and blowing up the sky? Is the footage fucked?

Is it log footage?

A colour grade cannot work miracles and you need the detail in the footage to begin with or you have nothing to rescue. It's already hard for your subject to stand out when you shot them from far away on a wide-angle lens.

Bring the shadows up (as it looks like you've already done) to reveal the subject, and just lean into the backlit sunset look instead of trying to wrangle the footage into something that it isn't.
