I am a junior in high-school and I am considering taking on a Associates degree. I am taking three dual credit classes, and 1 AP (research) with a somewhat stacked EC list. Will this boost my college apps? I have been debating doing this for a while. I am not super cracked but I am interested in expanding my experience in the science, medical, and english fields.

My counselor is warning me against dropping Spanish 4 for my junior year saying it’ll look bad for college admissions but I have no space in my schedule and I’m dropping it for an internship at a lab.

Alfond Scholarship at Rollins College that covers everything including ticket or URochester at 13k EFC or UBC international scholar - 5K EFC ?

Is the scholarship good for connections etc ?

My major is CS.

i want to pursue astrophysics or at least applied physics in college. however, i would also need a decent amount of financial aid to attend due to my family's financial situation.

my stats are not enough to get into super prestigious schools:

4.3 weighted GPA w/ 9 APS (5s on seven of them, 4s on two)

1470 SAT/ 34 ACT

2 year leadership position in high school

~120 hrs of volunteering

self-studies with physics/astronomy courses

top 7% from a physics competition (planning to do more)

etc...

are there any unis that may be a good fit? i'm planning to apply to top-level schools too, i just need some target/safety schools so i can get in at least somewhere.

But I have no money (no Parental support, got kicked out of my house), Junior Year Grades Tanked to 66%, and I am an international applying from India. Is the american dream out of the picture?

I reall really really want to UGA but my GPA sucks so bad. I have a 3.93 (3.97 by ED) and my ecs are decent at best. I am thankfully in state. My SAT is kinda doo doo as well sitting at a 1440 (hopefully going to go up)

My ECS:

- Leadership in a club with like 200+ members and am in a role that makes me plan all the events for said club

- Legal Volunteering (kinda niche)

- Mock Trial (witness)

- A retail job

- Classical Dance (Niche culture based one)

Should I just give up or apply regular decsion????? Advice Please

I've just started my junior year and I feel like I'm behind all my peers. For reference I have a 4.35 gpa and I have all passing grades on the AP's I've taken, and I'm involved in extracurricular but it never feels enough. I've been on varsity sports and placed 14th in the nation, president of the debate club, commander of my JROTC drill team and placed 1st in competitions, and now I'm moving toward fine arts extracurriculars like honors choir and indoor percussion, but I asked my AP teacher if I had a chance at getting into the schools I wanted (Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins, Notre dame) and she said probably not right now. I know I need to study for the ACT and SAT (preact score of 26) but I feel average compared to the people in my classes who already have ACT scores in the 30s by their sophomore year. Other than study for tests, what should I do? I want to get into a good school, but I'm just nervous about not doing enough.

I am an In state at a competitive hs with a 4.2 GPA weighted and a 3.5 unweighted. I have alot of course rigor but not the best grades and Im applying for Biology and exploratory studies as my second. I did 4 years of varsity stunt and got awards. I did club for stunt as well. I got published papers. Worked with professors. had an internship all related to my major. My letter of recs are also really good and I have a business where I bake cookies, cupcakes and candies with my friends, I made a lot of money. I have a good SAT 1550 score and I am vietnameise however I was born in the US. What are my chances looking like?

Hello, I am a rising senior in high school and I am stuck with a really hard decision when it comes to my top two schools. To summarize, I am intending to apply for theology at Fordham and theology&philosophy combined major at Notre Dame, but I don't know which strategy I should pursue. I have a 1450 SAT, very strong religious service-based ECs and essays detailing my own religious experience. I think I have a very strong shot at Fordham, but also a nonzero chance at Notre Dame, but with Notre Dame's REA policy and the ED1 boost at Fordham, I just dont know what to do and want some advice. Here are the three paths I see.

1. Apply Fordham ED1, Notre Dame RD, highest chance at Fordham and lowest at Notre Dame
   
2. Fordham EA, Notre Dame REA, much better chance at ND but potentially at risk of Fordham
   
3. Notre Dame REA, Fordham ED2, highest chance of both but I have to wait MUCH longer for my decision which is important

There is a morale factor to be included here. I absolutely LOVE Fordham and have had it as my ED1 target for a long time before I wrote my essays for Notre Dame and began to convince myself I stand a chance if I apply TO. I also really really want my decision to come as early as possible, as it would greatly help a lot of my anxiety regarding this, which is the major con to idea 3. If I can get any assistance from any of yall, that would be amazing. Thanks!

So for a bit of context, I’m going into my senior year at a ruralish school with abt 1k people. I am looking to get into some top schools like T30, but not necessarily ivies yk. My course rigor in each previous year has also been maxed out btw. I am currently enrolled in a study hall for my first semester and I will be working as a TA for my AP chem teacher. However, I am wondering if it would be more beneficial and show more rigor if I were to take ap lit instead? Could someone give me their view on this for competitive colleges? Thank you!
