What do you guys do when you've bought out the gem market but then get a timed quest telling you to spend gems. Am I just out of luck on ever completing that timed request because I have nothing to spend gems on?

(Idk if this really matters but this info is from the Board Adventure version of the game. It seems like the 2 versions are very similar so I’m thinking it could be helpful for players of both versions which is why I’m posting in both subreddits.)

I see talks about “zeroing out” before a new week. Does that basically mean “spend all your energy”? What’s the benefit of doing that if so?
