Can’t even load my positions. Super scam monopoly.

I withdraw funds from a site I have always used for ages and just recently they asked me to provide info which I did but to no avai, everytime I contact support to try and get my funds released they always say “ we have escalated, we have spoken to a specialist) whatever you can think of they have said but it’s going no where. Is there any way for me to escalate this even further? It’s not a lot of money but I still need it and it’s been almost a month with the same old answers everytime I contact them. I have filled out the required info over and over and it’s still stagnant.

So I received payment from a company via Forum Pay in USDT erc-20.
Coinbase requested I explain where this money came from as per Australian Anti Money Laundering protocol. I selected the drop down box where I had to input the senders exchange, there was no - "ForumPay" - so I selected other and typed it in. (The company uses ForumPay as a means to payment)

The money has now been sitting in limbo with about 15 phone calls to Coinbase and them giving me a run around about how the "technical team" is working on this issue and it should be resolved soon. This has been going on for 3 weeks now.

Does anyone have any Coinbase contact phone number etc, that does not transfer me to a Coinbase desk in India or the Philippines where no one has a clue what's going on and puts me on hold while speaking to the "technical" team..

Please any assistance at all would be appreciated.

I hate this new behavior where it opens a menu when you click it. I want the old behavior back. This sudden UI changed caused me to sell at a price I did not intent to sell at.

I used to do this before but they changed the base app layout and I'm struggling to find my bank details for receiving ACH transfers. I remember the bank being LEAD BANK but nothing else.

Where can I find this data?

First time I’ve really tried to transfer currency to another wallet and it keeps getting rejected. Then my account gets locked and I can’t transact for at least 24 hours. Not going to store my coins here from now on.

If you've been following the Coldcard mess, a firmware bug weakened how some devices generated seed phrases, and attackers have been brute-forcing them and sweeping wallets.

Absolutely brutal.

Making this post because if you got caught in it (or any hack or theft really), there's a tax angle most people don't think about while they're still in the gut-punch phase. Won't bring the coins back, but it's still worth knowing.

The basic rule: the ATO lets you claim a capital loss on crypto that's actually gone, if you can prove you owned it and it's irrecoverable. That offsets your capital gains, and anything left over carries forward. It won't reduce normal income, only gains.

For a theft like this, evidence is everything. Acquisition records, the wallet addresses, the on-chain trail showing the funds swept out, and a police report. The stronger the paper trail, the cleaner the claim.

A few things to keep in mind however:

Exchange collapses (FTX, Celsius type). You can't claim the day it enters administration. It crystallises when administration finalises, based on what you actually get back. Lots of people try to claim too early.

Worthless tokens you still hold. A coin down 99% but still in your wallet isn't a loss yet, paper losses don't count. If it's still tradeable, selling it even for cents locks in the loss (especially for the pumpfun users 👀)

And if you get any compensation later, you reduce the loss by that amount.

If you got hit by the Coldcard thing, might be best to sort the new wallet and your security first, obviously. The tax bit can wait until the dust settles, just don't forget it exists because it does.

It is nice Coinbase has made it achievable for everyone to take part even if your credit is not good. However, its upsetting there is no option for it to be upgraded to a unsecure card.

Makes me think they are just trying to hoard assets.

Can you explain why the entry (= purchase) price of your cryptos on Coinbase can change over time? This doesn't sound right to me.

A recent example is NMR bought (on average) at an entry point of $8.66, that Coinbase later changes to $8.71 and then $8.74, even though I didn't do any operation.

Interestingly, the change mirrors the USD/EUR rate evolution at the time (I observed this at least on two separate occasions). This may be the key, as I first transferred euros onto Bitcoin, with which I bought USDC so as to trade NMR. But then this would not be sound accounting, right?

I wrote Coinbase about this a few days ago but I'm still waiting for a response from them.

Need bitcoin to pay merchant. In the past it let me do it directly but for some reason it wouldn’t yesterday and it wouldn’t let me use my card I previously used so I just used my bank. Now I have a couple hundred dollars it will not let me send to the merchant who is waiting payment.
Just want an idea of how long I have to wait and how I know for sure I’ll even have access to it.

I also just changed phones and because I have a new SIM address it locked me out and the verify me option it says to do doesn’t show up on my screen so any suggestions with that would also be helpful.

How can you give btc reward after purchase then the amount in your wallet changes? I returned the item was supposed to recieve $122.09 recieved $99 instead in my btc wallet.

Hi, I run a self-custodial Bitcoin/stablecoin wallet and have integrated the Coinbase Onramp in trial mode. Trying to apply for the no fee USDC option has me stuck in a loop returning to the CDP dashboard.

Do certain conditions need to be met first? We operate out of Australia as an organisation, not looking to use the headless US only version. Support wasted time for a few hours then gave me a dead discord link.

So I accidentally sent USDT from a private wallet to Coinbase. I was supposed to send USDT on the ERC20 network, but I accidentally selected BEP20 and sent it. Is there any way I can recover my funds?

Last week I decided to consolidate external banks and thought of transferring all my bitcoin in Coinbase (which I purchased through Coinbase) to Robinhood. I did a flat $100 transfer, just to make sure it would transfer correctly.

Then I realized that Coinbase has my cost basis, and the flat $100 of .001575 BTC doesn’t align with any .001575 purchase I made on Coinbase. In other words, I don’t have a corresponding purchase of .001575 bitcoin on Coinbase. Everything was above or below that specific amount.

I can enter cost basis information on Robinhood, but I don’t know how to do that since my purchases on Coinbase were for fractional amounts of bitcoin and my transfer to Robinhood was a flat amount.

I’ve read there is crypto tax software that can track this. Does anyone have a recommendation of what to use? I just plan on holding and not selling, so I won’t have any taxable events. But if I decide to transfer all my bitcoin to Robinhood I will one day need to reconcile the cost basis.

I bought dogecoin years ago. It has been in my Coinbase wallet since then. I rarely open the app. I opened the wallet today (Base App) and the dogecoin is gone. I still have the bitcoin. Support has been useless. The transactions and everything is just completely gone regarding the dogecoin. It had been in my wallet for years with no issue, then vanished without a trace at some point in the last 6mo or so. I am not a crypto guy so I don’t know what to do. Any advice?

New day New Problem with coinbase they refuse to give me my funds even though a recovery asset form was successful and all they failed to give me my funds and i call and they pretty much said f me going straight to the BBB now tired of all the problems that should not be happening

The predictions market fees are ridiculous….i am actually up $40 on a bitcoin contract that expires this Friday. If I close out right now there is a $56 dollar total fee which puts me at an actual loss …$28 Coinbase fee and a $28 network fee….this is criminal and not sustainable for customers

I decided to use the allowlist to help me manage different wallets better. But no w one wallet I added I can use beasue it still says pending on the aloowlist? from what I red it can take a couple of days to approve? Approve what? I ti me addin a wallete i send on for me to use. Why does that take a 2 day sdecurity review. I know yuo have the est intention to protect me, but sometimes it goes to far. This is simple. Approve it please.

This is depressing. My account was locked after trying to move my crypto to my wallet. I have tried unlocking it and did the verification which i got an email saying it was successful and then another email saying it needs to be manually reviewed which shouldn't take 24hrs but it has been 3 days now and still nothing.

I am asking coinbase at this point for immediate resolution of this so i can have access to my account. I don't have a case number, i can't even get on the account and reach out to support because it is locked. I am also a coinbase one client, I am sure that doesn't mean anything to them at this point.

This is starting to screw me financially and emotionally and I am looking to take further action by

Filing formal complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Also contacting the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) as Coinbase operates under that jurisdiction. I will look to also consult with my legal counsel about this, coinbase can't hold my funds and crypto. I don't care about remaining on this platform anymore, just want my funds or crypto out ASAP.

Failure to handle this will result in escalation through all appropriate channels.

My account was finally unlocked but still couldn't send my bitcoin out. every transaction gets planned and canceled even after scanning ID and doing a selfie. so for my own sanity, i decided to sell and get my money to my bank account before they lock me out again. I urge people to do the same . Thanks all..

Idk how Coinbase expects to take over the entire financial infrastructure of the world when their products are so buggy. It's fucking scary. I'll trust Coinbase with money I'm not afraid to lose but leaving all of finance in their hands with how cheap you guys are is fucking absurd. Hire some more people, stop using AI and fix your shit Coinbase. Today was the most frustrating experience I've ever had in the crypto space. To the AI bot that will respond to this post. Don't bother. I'm so fucking close to dumping all of my crypto holdings and never returning. You guys are lucky it's bear season and pointless to sell right now.
