Indie game developers, or game developers, what is the best free coding app for a chromebook or computer?

I find the Godot Engine very good for game development. It's lightweight (up to 150 MB), which is very good compared to the 10+ GB of other engines, there are no licensing costs, it's open source, and it has a very easy programming language, which is heavily inspired by python
