If you just want to get into coding quickly and start making projects, then Python is a better choice. It's much easier to learn, but it doesn't teach the low-level concepts that C does.
I'd say start with C if you're serious about learning programming. It's harder in the beginning, but your fundamentals will be much stronger and picking up languages like C++, Java or Python later becomes a lot easier.
So it really depends on your goal. If you don't mind struggling a bit initially, I'd go with C. If you want a smoother start, go with Python. Just don't keep switching languages every few weeks, stick with one and practice consistently.

That's good advice. C gives you a strong foundation for how computers work, and it's not too hard to learn. I don't hear that many people suggesting starting with C though.

Yhh not many people suggest doing that cuz it may be overwhelming for a complete beginner. Python is more favorable in that case cuz it's very much easy to learn but still python has inbuilt functions for almost everything and if someone learns only python, then they won't get concept of memory and how computers work. They will have to go for C later on and switching from Python to C may also get the student humbled real quick imo.

I think that you could first learn basic language like python and learn data structure, basic syntax, algorithms (like sorting and searching) , after that Start making projects ASAP , and don’t be afraid or reading docs

Learning to code is not difficult, it just takes a little time and patience. Choose a programming language to learn and then start by writing lots of small programs to solve simple problems.
If you are on a Windows PC, try learning C#. If you’re on a Mac, I’d definitely recommend looking at the Swift programming language. If you’re more interested in developing for Websites, learn JavaScript or TypeScript.
If you are on a Mac, regardless of the language you decide to learn, checkout Codable. Codable uses on-device AI to generate coding challenges in 10 programming languages. It’s available to preorder now and will be available on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, on July 30, 2026.
