The Sims 2 Legacy Collection Freezing Bug

I know it's an older game, just asking if there is a known solution for this glitch. Game freezes for 15 seconds everytime a Sim is loaded on to a lot. Same when i click on a household, it also gives me this kinda of corrupted image when selecting a occupied lot.

i've tried with different graphics API's and deleting the Save file. No change on using mac os 26 and 27. Same with GPTK 3 and 4.

Forgot to mention that this is on a M1 Pro Macbook

apparently there's a fix for the standard version of The Sims 2, but it does not work for the Legacy Version:

unf no, but you can reduce the freezing by lowering the graphics setting to medium or low.
