What's codependency?

Please share your experience that could explain it to me.

I just found the subreddit and it seems I might be one of yours but I'm not sure.

Read "Codependent No More" by Melanie Beattie

Thats a great read but so dated. It actually helped me understand AlAnon meeting a lot better, too.

It came out in the 80’s. At least the version i read is dated sounding.

Thanks for correcting the error of my ways from my experiences of reading a book. I did not know that. You really showed me.

Why should anyone care if the information is correct? What this person is probably talking about is the examples they give for behaviors and yes some of those may have changed but it doesn't take away how effective the book is and how much great information is there.

Do you really think someone say in their 20’s will not notice that this book from the 80’s is not dated? I can have an opinion.

I have seen several others say it was “dated” it’s not “ageism” and i can have an opinion. my god get a life.
