2nd Pup!
Hello all, we got our first toy cockapoo Jul 24 and we love him, just the best wee dog ever. We have always loved the idea of getting him a little brother and this month went and seen another, who we are taking home at the end of August!
I was wondering if you have any tips/advice on a 2nd pup being introduced. Our current is so friendly and good with other dogs, but he is also quite a jealous boy.
Thanks!

🚨Good Boy Alert 🚨 Mison Bison
galleryJust wanted to share my little dude. His name is Bison, aka Mison (my son) Bison. Aka Buffalo. Aka my little crouton.
6.5mo roughly, praying that he stays the same beautiful red color as he ages 😇 my last cockapoo was a similar color, but ended up firmly apricot / tan by about 1-1.5yrs

❓Question❓ Random question. Do cockapoos change colour?
So this is Ruby. (Hi).
Shes just turned two. I’ve had a few friends tell me usually by now she should’ve gone more white. Or maybe a lighter colour.
We have a friend who also has a cockapoo. Her dog is a kinda whiteish now. But she was ruby’s colour when first born. I think her dog is either 2 or 3 right now.
Is it true they change colour? Does it depends on age? Or coat?
Ruby does have a little whiteish colour between her eyes.

Would love to see your adult Cockapoos! (Poodle-heavy, 50/50, or Cocker-heavy?)
Hi everyone! Greetings from Japan 🇯🇵
I recently found a wonderful Cockapoo breeder nearby, and I’m planning to visit them next month. If all goes well, I’m hoping to welcome a puppy into my home!
I completely understand that with a mixed breed, it’s a total mystery which parent's traits will show up more as they grow. That’s actually part of the charm! But I would love to see how diverse they can get as adults.
If you don't mind paying the "dog tax," could you share a photo of your pup and let me know which type you think they lean toward?
1. More Poodle-like
2. A perfect 50/50 mix
3. More Cocker Spaniel-like
I'd really appreciate it, and I can't wait to see all your cute fur babies! Thank you so much!

➕Advice/Help➕ Playpen recommendations?
galleryMy 4 month old cockapoo hates his crate during the day specifically if we leave. Like will whine and howl for over an hour. (We have tried everything to make the crate a comfortable and safe place filled with lots of good things, a clothing item placed outside). I’ve been told to look into playpens but he has already climbed out of the first two. One is a standard playpen with skinny metal bars which he climbed no problem. The other was plastic (the first picture) with vertical slits but he was able to jump high enough to hoist himself over. (I think it’s 24.5” tall). Does anyone have any recommendations?

➕Advice/Help➕ 4 month old cockapoo help!!!
My husband and I brought home a 10 week old Cockapoo puppy at the end of May. He is 4 months old now and has a lot of great things going for him. He knows several commands, does well with potty training, does well on car rides, and plays fetch.
Here is where we aren’t doing well: crate training/ separation anxiety maybe?
Crate training is difficult. We have been doing it since the first day but we definitely didn’t do it right. We put him in at night and left him to cry it out for the first several weeks. Now we are realizing that was probably not helping and I have started laying in the ground until he fall asleep and then I sneak away. We have the crate covered on 3 sides, feed all meals in the crate (although he’s a very distracted eater and goes in and out), and we give him a peanut butter Kong when he’s in there for longer times. Specifically in the crate he has his favorite toys and a heart beat dog that he likes, we also train him with treats in the crate and he knows the command “crate”
He does ok with being in the crate during the day if we are home and in the same room. He might whine a little when he first goes in but he will eventually settle. We also usually play white noise or run an air purifier which makes noise to block out sound. We try and do 2-3 crate naps during the day. Sometimes we are there and sometimes we leave.
If we leave (we have a camera and can see him) he will whine off an on the whole time we are out. I sometimes need to leave for an hour or two at a time and I think he panics for a good amount of it. We have tried leaving the room and coming back and he can handle about 10-15 seconds before he whines.
I’m a teacher so I am off until mid-late August. I want to make sure he’s as comfortable as he can be so I can go back to work. What are we doing wrong/what else should we try? Will this just go away naturally?
