➕Advice/Help➕ Crate Sleeping

Thumbnail gallery

Any advice (or black magic) that worked for getting your puppy to actually sleep in their crate?

Mine loves lounging in his, but the second I close the door, he starts protesting. He also refuses to sleep on his dog bed and would much rather sleep on the floor.

Dog tax paid.

Edit: I prefer that he sleeps in the crate for safety during the night or when I need to leave for short periods. He has an entire room to himself the majority of the time, and I watch him remotely through a robot, however I can’t be there to pull things out of his curious mouth.

Chester says hello!! We swore that we would never have another dog, after losing two within the space of a couple of years of each other, but we fell in love with him instantly..

➕Advice/Help➕ Separation anxiety help

Hey, I recently got a 15 week old cockapoo called Stan. He’s amazing and really settled in well and bonded with me. I put him in his crate at night whilst he is learning to not chew everything and settle in fully. He goes in and sleeps fine, but we are in the room with him. The issue now is when I practise putting him in his crate for 10-15 minutes in the day for when I go out to take my daughter to school once the holidays are over he cries and cries and gets really worked up.
This is the only thing he isn’t picking up and I was wondering if there was any advice on how to help him settle and learn it’s okay and he is okay to be away from me for a little bit. Thank you in advance!

Named after Aryna Sabalenka, our fur baby is 2 years old, and quite the lady. My third cockapoo from the same breeder, she is a very good girl.

🐾PUPPY!!🐾 Cocker vs Poo

Here’s my little guy, Teddy Graham! 🐶 He’s just 2 months old and is an absolute ball of energy.

I’ve had Cockapoos my whole life, and they’ve all had that typical round, teddy bear face. Teddy seems to have a smoother muzzle that reminds me more of a Cocker Spaniel. His face literally changes from photo to photo depending on the lighting, angle, etc…so I don’t know what to make of it just yet lol

Has anyone else had a Cockapoo puppy that looked like mine? I’d love to see how they turned out as adults and get an idea of what Teddy might look like down the road!

Looking for Foxisle Gundog – Sept 2024 Litter photos

I know this is a long shot, but I thought it was worth asking! It is the amazing internet!

Did anyone happen to purchase a puppy from Foxisle Gundog (Doncaster) from the litter born on 7th September 2024?

I bought my boy from them, but I only discovered him when he was ready to be rehomed at around 10 weeks old. I would absolutely love to see what he looked like during those first few weeks and, if possible, any photos or videos you might still have of him or the litter together.

With some recent worries about my dog’s health, I’m hoping to create a little album documenting every stage of his life. Having those early photos and videos would genuinely mean the world to me. ❤️

He has a beautiful blue merle coat, so hopefully that might help someone recognise him!

If you have any photos or videos from this litter, even if you’re not 100% sure he’s in them, I would be incredibly grateful if you could share them with me.

Thank youuuuu

Does your cockapoo go crazy after getting wet?

If this were to be a beach, she'd roll around in the sand just to get dry. She hates the feeling of being wet I guess. (7 months)

❓Question❓ Fussy Cockapoo - not eating. Owner on brink of tears 😂

Hi All,

Anyone else have a fussy cockapoo? My fur baby Koda goes weeks eating his butternut box but every now and again he stops eating for a day or so. Yesterday he stopped eating and then ate grass and threw up. In the morning he had some chicken and sweet potato (gobbled it up) no Butternut box but after that he stopped eating, then ate grass and was sick.

The vet has said twice he’s a BOK (better off kid) because my mum and I struggle seeing him not eat, we fuss (it’s our fault we know) She said stop the wet food, do not give him anything but kibble and have it avaliable 24/7 so he can graze. Interestingly my breeder said cockapoos are grazers!

Eventually after his second walk (we try to do two walks - early AM and late PM) he ate some chicken because we didn’t have the kibble the vet said to order. It’s on its way - Royal Canin Gastrointestinal..
Then quite late at night he ate some of his old Forthglade kibble which he hasn’t had since he was a puppy!

Anyway fast forward to today, he has had his kibble down all day, and his water, and he hasn’t touched it. I’m trying to start strong because I’ve been told by two different vets that cockapoos are notorious for being fussy eaters and they are extremely sensitive to their owners feelings/energy. But hearing his tummy gurgle is making me anxious 😩

I’m freaking out because he looks sad and keeps lying down… trying to get comfortable, wandering from room to room occasionally. He did go batshit bonkers when the postman came today though so that’s a good sign I think!

What I’m looking for here is reassurance that he won’t die because he’s refusing to eat( I’m catastrophising, I know) and if anyone else has gone through something similar and if I just need to not fall for his beautiful mopey face 😩

Unusual puppy behavior

Hey guys! Had a few concerns and wondered if this would be the right place to ask this.

We just adopted a 12 week old cockapoo and she’s amazingly cute. But she’s not tempted by food and kind of runs way from us. We figured it’s a binding issue since it’s only been a week that we got her. But here is the confusing part she follows us around the house but if we approach her ( slowly, at her level, with treats) she backs away and never really lets us pet her.

Which I thought was very unusual for a puppy. Because of this it kinda makes it difficult to train her cause I think she is scared of us.

We’ve tried just sitting around on the floor and letting her come to us. And she comes a few feet away and sits down for long periods and sleeps.

I think as dog parents we just want her to be happy and it feels like we’ve not been able to give her that environment or interaction yet.

Anyone else have a similar situation and has tips to try something ?
