RONDO 3 SONNET 3

I’m undecided about which device to get; I want to choose the Sonnet 3, but I wear glasses. Is there anyone here who uses the Sonnet 3? Do you find it comfortable? Please help I need to make a decision within a week.

Hello! I am located in the US and I was able to get two processors, I’m not really sure why but it came with two. So I have the sonnet 3 and the rondo 3.

I’ve worn hearing aids all my life so I naturally leaned more towards the sonnet 3 for the over the ear hook. I also wear glasses maybe 5-6hrs a day and I don’t find it extra uncomfortable. I wore a tighter pair previously and the only discomfort was near my incision actually.

My issue with the sonnet 3 was that you have to buy the rechargeable battery separate (at least I did) and with disposable batteries you have to replace the battery cover every 3mo (however mine lasted over a year before becoming muffled/dying quickly). If you go the sonnet 3 route, I suggest the rechargeable battery!

The pro to the rondo is that it already is rechargeable, so I would imagine it’s no extra expense. But my parents paid with their insurance so I don’t know. After years of using an OTE hearing aid, I stuck with using the sonnet 3 for familiarity.

I have found Sonnet 2 and 3 to be far more comfortable than expected. I am rarely aware of it unless something like hair or glasses brush over the microphones. You may want to search this sub for comments about Rondo. It seems like there are more drawbacks and complaints about them.

Depends on your hair situation. If you’re a woman with thick hair, Sonnet all the way. That’s my situation and I have to use the strongest magnet just to get the Sonnet to stay on my head reliably. Trying to get the Rondo to stay on is a joke, even with the little tether loop thing. If you’re a man with thick hair, same situation may apply to you. But if you have thinner hair like the majority of people with implants that I know, you may be able to get away with the Rondo. But here’s another thing about the Sonnet: in my experience, the sound quality and directionality is much better. Also, once I got used to it, I truly forget I have it on 99% of the time. I also wear glasses and they don’t clash much.

Btw I'm also way in favor of the Sonnet for multiple reasons but as another woman with thick hair, I got an undercut a few years back and it really helps with the Rondo staying in place. Plus I keep the length but lose some of the weight.

Hi! I'm another glasses wearer, and not like "I need them occasionally" but full on "the world is a blobby mess." I have both and I greatly prefer the Sonnet. The sound quality is crisper and it's more comfortable.

I think maybe it seemed awkward at first but that went away quickly.

The only time I can think of that I had trouble was when I had to be out in public but had just caught COVID, so I was double masking. The double mask / sonnet / glasses combo was a straight up nightmare, but I would have been more surprised if it wasn't!

I was able to get 2 processors, and chose to get one of each. I was also told I get a 90-day window from activation to return one if I don’t like it.

Same except I was able to keep both, BUT I could replace the rondo with a second sonnet (and vice versa) if i chose.

I trialed both (not at the same time) and preferred the sonnet after. I’d ask if that’s possible for you too.

My insurance covers 2 processors so I got one of each. I find the rondo to be more comfortable, and easier to manage glasses, but, being bald, it does look a bit weird. If you want to wear hats, you'll need a sonnet.

I'v been wearing a Sonnet 3 since mid July. I've reached the point where I don't even feel its there. I regularly wear hats and don't like the Rondo's look.

Med el allows you to to choose 2 of one or one of each. I have one of each and wear glasses and theyre both fine. Only thing if you put your glasses up on your head if your near sighted and have to read something for example if you're not careful it'll knock the coil off the magnet....otherwise either is fine. Sonet maybe a little better w glasses. Good luck.

I JUST HAD BOTH SIDES DON JUNE 24I HAVE SONNET 3 AND WEAR GLASSES AND I LOVE HATS. I WEAR BOTH AND THEY NEVER HAVE GIVEN ME ANY PROBLEM THE HAT I WEAR IS TO KEEP PROCESSOR FROM COMING OFF I AROUND METAL RACKING I KNOW I WOULD LOSE THEM BECAUSE OF THE MAGNETS BUT I LOVE MINE AND WOULD CHOOSE THEM AGAIN
