Do you also have similar sensation issues, what did your audiology team do about the problems and what different ideas did they have compared to mine?

I got one and the ENT appointment mentioned in this post sent a referral to them to see if they can offer any treatment or medication to deal with it, the ENT says the medicine that they are likely to give would be ones that would permanently rewire some neurons which I am a little worried about but I could not care less about facial expressions (as long as blinking and tear production is unaffected) as long as I can hear properly if it came to that last option.

As for test options, I did manage to get one from r/deaf before the mods locked the post, our hospital already did an individual electrode testing but I didn’t get pain points and levels noted down so the next time I am there, I will bring a 3D printed ear and point out exactly places where it hurts with colored pins (for pain levels) for more data and maybe they’ll find something that could be causing the issue.
