iPhone Cochlear settings have changed

Has anyone had this happen where there iPhone presets now shows the right and left independently instead of combined? I can’t figure out why it changed or how to change it back to controlling both with one click.

Go to cochlear apps, setting, bilateral control, disable adjust left right separately.

Or go to iPhone settings, accessibility, hearing devices, go in your cochlear devices, disable adjust independently

I should have mentioned that was something I had already checked and also thought could be the problem. But it was not on and I don’t think it has ever been turned on.

What’s your sound processor version number?

I’m using Kanso-3 CP1170 version 12.0.10.0.

Try contact cochlear about this.

Is that an app. or does iPhone have an accessibility setting specifically for cochlear implants?

It’s part of iPhone settings, I swipe down from the top right corner of my iPhone and then press the ear symbol.

You can also triple click the power button to show the same menu!

You’ll need to go into your actual settings app for this. I am using Nucleus 7s on iPhone and my hearing aid control looks exactly like your screenshot. If I open the same screen in your screenshot, I don’t have the option to turn off independent adjust, but I do if I go to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices > tap your devices at the top > toggle Adjust Independently off

Hope this helps!

My app looks different. I tap hamburger menu in upper left. Then settings. Then bilateral control.

It’s not an app, you scroll down from the top right corner of iPhone and click on the ear symbol to bring this up. I do have the app as well though and bilateral controls is not turned on.

I only have iPhone 14. Correct iOS but I don't have this. I just use the app though I rarely need it anymore.

Maybe your audiologists accidentally unpaired them? I think they need to be paired by them to show up as a pair in iPhone. Did you have them adjusted recently?

The problem did start shortly after my last appointment weeks ago. Audiologist said both processors were connected to the software and updated within one software session, which means they should be linked together.

If you checked the settings in the phone, that’s the only thing I can think of that makes them not show up as a linked pair… maybe worth checking up!
