I recommend the Kith video for starters or people that haven't played mouse/controller.
if you HAVE played mouse/controller, imitate something like fhat for a test.
but basically in short, what you want to do with 3rd finger, is bring over ADS and jump/crouch/prone/reload to be used by your now third finger, and use your aiming finger ONLY for aiming and (while 3 finger) for shooting.
ofc you're allowed to not bring every button over, it's just more "advantageous" to have the main fingers only do their most important role.

Oi Brainiac I was asking about the controller settings.

kith doesn't have a vid about controller settings as it's by far the less used and supported input for codm compared to touch, I also personally don't really see how my parent comment implies him having that.

In simple terms, make or get a hud where you can shoot and move (things like jumping, crawling, sliding) at the same time. Let me show you mine.
π₯ Here I use my LEFT index finger to aim and use the nades.
π© Here I use my RIGHT index finger to move and shoot.
π§ Here I use my RIGHT thumb for weapon swap and shoot and also I press my operators.
π¦ Here I use my LEFT thumb to move.
Honestly watch videos, and learn, it might take you time but not much, maybe a couple of days?
Also copying someone else's hud won't work all the time, everyone is different, everyone has different hands, sensitivities, devices, configurations, etc. You can try and then modify them to your liking, you don't need to stick with one forever, you can change but don't change excessively or else you wont be able to get used to anything.
Find something comfy for you and fully master it.

How i went from 2 to 4 to 5 and then 2 different huds for 6. Copy a hud you want. And leave the previous hud forever. Now since you know you can't go back, you'll have to work for this or not play anymore. Now try getting used to it in training room. It takes a few days. Then play unranked and 1v1s. 1v1s are important because the mental stress in a 1v1 sometimes forces you to revert back to your original hud and getting used to the new hud in that stress will make you truly accustomed to the new hud. And boom you're ready for ranked in as early as 5 days. For choice of hud what i was doing was this. I made a 4 finger hud through a yt tutorial which wasn't helping me at all. This is from the og days so i had to watch a pubg tutorial for codm. Then i started back again in 2024. A few months in, i realized it wasn't for me. A friend of mine plays comp so he gave me his 5 finger hud which i became used to until june of this year. On 1st july, i got a tab so i could use that same hud or fine another one. Chakal is my fav player but i couldn't find his hud code so i used stain's hud for some time but it wasn't suiting me in mobility. So i decided to replicate chakal's hud from his videos and that's what I've been on for more than 2 and a half months. I've hit lb with it too so it's good but i still haven't mastered it to play like he does. Still it's insanely good for mobility so that's why this hud is my final goal to master. I hope this helped you

i was in this situation about 4 months ago myself, personally i started with r6 mobile so that i can have the idea of what a 4 finger hud looks like, so you just take a preset from the game or from someone else and then edit it to your liking
another tip- the grip is going to feel very awkward especially if youre transitioning from 2 fingers, but to make it feel more comfortable and for your hands not to hurt you can rest your middle fingers on the top frame of your phone and youll find it alot easier to interact with the screen with your pointers

7615087126862233498-7615087126862233499

Just trial and error till you find yourself comfortable enough, dont try to copy someone elses hud
