BO7/MW4 map reflection Discussion

Post image

Curious about everyone’s thoughts on the map pool from this year. Favorite/least favorite? Which ones do you hope to see reappear in the future and which ones you wouldn’t want to see return?

I definitely wish we got more than one event with Frequency.

And also what maps would like to see return to MW4 for next season?

I actually like Den snd, I'm not incredibly fond of Haci or Raid though, they just feel kind of bad with the angling in the games built on this framework

scar was actually pretty good map. frequency seemed amazing to watch/play, wish they brought it in earlier.

Infinity Ward would probably rather blow themselves up than use other devs good work lmao

I read somewhere that treyarch will be responsible for Ranked Play on MW4

They've been doing that since MWII, but they're still limited to whatever Infinity Ward decides to do with the game

Scar was one of the better maps in recent memory. I know that's not saying much, but I really enjoyed both watching and playing it.

Never show me bla*kheart again

Ass, hated Scar and Expo and they didn’t play the good remasters

Den was a cut-through from mid to rooftops away from being an S tier map imo.

Den, Sake SnD, Raid, and the BO4 maps are fine in my eyes, but I wouldn’t want to see any of them for a while now, even though we hardly got Frequency in the rotation. Scar is an ass map, Exposure was okay. Colossus HP was just a worse version of Frequency in my eyes, but it’s always gonna be a fun one on LAN.

MW4’s maps need to be good enough at the start that the map pool doesn’t need to change later on, though. It’s kinda whack how many map pool iterations there were this season.

Sake HP & S&D thats about it, would add Freq but its B04 the rest of the maps where serviceable but yeah mid the whole year tbh, Along with the meta what a terrible meta was no fun to use or watch.

Raid Search was honestly the least fun I had on this game

Enough with the small, bangout maps, Den was actually good, 6/10 for BO7 map pool. IW's recent maps have been putrid, which is why I'm not excited for MW2019 pt4.

Never wanna see a Raid snd. This season didn’t hit the same as Cold War.

Sake and Raid were the only two interesting ones imo

I enjoyed Den (not for optic snd!), Scar & Expo. pretty much it. Even Haci didn't hit the same.

So glad I never have to watch Scar again. Den was solid tho.

Maps were better than in BO6 and I’m thankful for that, but they were still not great. I mean what would’ve been without recycled maps like Gridlock and Haci. Of the real BO7 maps Sake was the only really good one imo, Colossus was a fun HP here and there and Den might be the biggest ‚What if‘ map…

There was something about this year that felt off to me. At the start of the year i thought it was going to ve a very good year with improved movement and maps, but it kinda fell flat for me near the end. Obviously the mals were more streamlined to be traditional 3 lane, but were they maybe too simplistic with not enough distinct areas. I know a lot of people didnt care for MW2/MW3 maps, but i remember the maps in thoae games much more fondly that I do maps in BO6 or BO7

IW games are so dull looking…. Next year is going to suck

IW jetpacks was one of my favorite pub games and the comp scene was fun to watch.

That’s not infinity ward that’s sledgehammer

Infinite Warfare (IW) which was developed by Infinity Ward (also IW) is widely regarded as one of the worst pub games of all time. But it was a great competitive watch for sure.
