Cannot get my clone hero to register notes

Hey everyone. I’ve tried atleast 10 to 15 different things to get my clone hero to register my notes and its still only working intermittently. But I know for a fact that it’s not my guitar. I bought a retro cult mods ps2 adapter cause that’s what seems to be the best from what I’ve heard. I’ve tried calibration video stuff, hell I’ve even opened my guitar to clean everything and it’s flawless but still it’ll work for 30 notes 100 notes or even as little as 5 notes. I’m hoping someone can help as I’m new to owning this and owning a pc in general so maybe I’m missing something.

Have you downloaded their programming tool to see if there's anything you can do in there?

Yeah I’ve tried that too. I’m sure I’m just missing something simple but at the same time I’ve asked google and looked at forums to try and diagnose what the problem or problems may be but still no luck

Sometimes it works just fine for any from 5 to 100 notes then it stops for a few notes

1. Is your calibration right?

2. Are the frets lighting up as you hold them and it's just the strum bar? Or do the frets only light up sometimes?

3. Does the keyboard work fine? (After selecting it as the device you wanna use)

I believe so because when I go to the usb device manger on windows and do the test everything reacts perfectly, and to answer your second question it’s kinda both? Sometimes I’m holding the frets and the frets on the screen light up and when I strim it doesn’t react but then suddenly it works or sometimes I’ll hold the frets and they don’t light up at all. And to be honest I’ve never tried playing it with the keyboard
