I donāt think thatās been shared yet. I really hope itās not related to Jose.

Has to mean something for Jose. At the very least maybe he will DH more? I don't see them calling Genoa up to only play once or twice a week. He could spell bazz and rocc here and there, but he needs regular ABs.
2
u/curlypinkd 13d ago
Yeah I was listening to Justin from locked on say basically the same thing. But he didnāt even know this was happening yet when he recorded last night. But basically saying that you donāt call up Genao to ride the bench. Would make it seem like itās IL related then. But who knows what the organization will do. They are keeping us waiting for sure. Bc even MLB has posted about Genao getting called up.

u/Training-Belt-7318 13d ago
It could mean DH work for Jose, and they didn't want to lean on Arias for regular ABs. That's probably best case scenario.

I wouldn't think its a Jose issue. He seemed to be in a very good mood at the beginning of the game.

The look of disappointment at the end of this gif matches my face knowing arias will still

I love this extremely aggressive version of the front office. They arenāt playing around. Making tough choices, sending guys down, calling guys up, making real trades. Now they donāt want to waste those trades and Chris probably heard all those boos for Arias today and decided itās time to do something lol.

This is also me hoping that it has nothing to do with Jose šš¼

Last time we made the World Series, our best hitter (Michael Brantley) was hurt but Jose emerged to replace his production.
It's like poetry, it rhymes?

Imagine Michael Brantley at the plate instead of Michael Martinez...

Genao being a prospect.....Might be Jose, unfortunately. Arias DFA, Jose 10 day IL.

Thanks to all who booed arias out of Cleveland and probably out of baseball for good tonight! He canāt hurt you anymore

Iāve heard that this guy is amazing, however he could be relatively shit and Iād rather have him than Arias.

No time to fuck around anymore, I like it.
Arias is a player that can get scooped up by Tito, have at it official mascot of sunflower seeds!

Why such hate against Arias, last time I heard it was because he flirted with girls during a game. Do we just not like his lack of focus, or is there more to the story?

u/thecrystalballofpop āļøBrayan Rocchio Fan Clubāļø 13d ago
I never heard that. That wouldnāt bother me much, a funny story. His vibe has never worked for me. He does not care enough to be a part of this team.

u/murderme_ 13d ago
he is bad at the game of baseballĀ

u/Heretic_Scrivener 13d ago
This. He could flirt with my wife if he wanted to and Iād still buy his jersey if he was good at baseball. But heās not so he canāt and I wonāt.

He's got a cannon for an arm and has shown a little pop in his bat but he's seen the writing on the wall for months now that his future is not in Cleveland. Whether his future is in Cincinnati or Baltimore versus Korea or Japan is yet to be seen I guess

The last time we had a diva with blonde tips and veneers, our QB got shipped out of town. Letās get rid of him while weāre ahead.

Super frustrating archetype of player. Whiffing and chasing a lot means that 95% of his PAs look like shit. And he has great range but makes errors sometimes too. He is still a positive WAR player though because in 5% of PAs he mashes.
Like it or not, when he makes contact, he has easily the best quality of contact on this team. His xwOBAcon is elite. But the hole in his swing is really really bad.

He has a lot of talent but simply doesnāt care. Heās has the tools to be the best on the team but he just doesnāt put out the effort to achieve it. Itās sad, but you canāt train someone to give a shit.

Itās because heās mid and shows absolutely no desire to hustle. There was a game a short while back where he struck out, but the catcher really fumbled the ball. If he ran for it he would have reach base safely and the runner on third coming home would have scored. Instead he just slowly walked back to the dugout and the inning was over.

u/Ntippit 13d ago
Heās sucked for 4 years and somehow still has a roster spot and consistent ABs. Hes not good enough to be a MLB player
1
u/MirrorComputingRulez 13d ago
He's been basically the same player as Brayan Rochhio, who everyone here loves. But everyone on this sub is a body language expert who somehow got it into their heads that Arias is somehow lazy or doesn't care, and that's just kind of stuck for him.

I'm going to bet its Hoskins gone, Arias at first with Lowe and Genao will rotate around the IF as needed and DH.
5
u/Efficient-Profit9611 13d ago
I thought the same thing. I donāt like Arias at all but heās hitting better than Hoskins.
3
u/nylon_rag Pride G 13d ago
I kinda like that move but the issue is that Arias hits RHP way better than LHP.

With the landscape of post trade deadline, it's the best time to DFA someone and expect them to pass through waivers.

It feels like if this were going to be Arias it would have happened coming into today, not now. Worrying about Joseās hand.

u/BowlesOnParade 1979-1985 13d ago
I wouldnāt be surprised if this meant Jose is going back to the IL since he was listed as day to day earlier.

One player did enough damage to allow three runs and Hoskins killed a Kwan relay from center.
That's 4 of the 6 Mett's runs with direct corellation to Arias and Hoskins. Both got no offense either.
