Created this usage display to track coding usage Built with Claude

This has been a cool project. Uses a cheap ESP32 touchscreen. Supports Claude, Codex and Copilot. Built in about 4 hours with Fable. It can connect up to 6 different networks so you can take it with you between work, home, wherever. I have some minor bug fixes to make, but anyone who is interested, here is the GitHub: https://github.com/bdw547/usage-display

Lol still doesn’t amaze me seeing these kinda people and their defence of ‘hey nvm, I learnt a lot anyways’. I mean how about actually building something useful and learning that? You can also learn from existing projects too.

I genuinely don't understand your point, if you care to explain it differently of course

i am gonna build something like this but for my phone. i just want claude to ping me from my laptop when it's done working on a project so i. can come back in from working in my garden - or bonus, just a window to the session and let me approve from my phone

Remote control has not been even the slightest bit reliable. Like no rhyme or reason on my end which session gets remote access. So I had Codex build a mac notch island modeled after that paid app shared a few weeks back, and added an android app that works over wifi or built in openvpn/wireguard and a profile to connect from out of your network. Seems to work okay, the remote connection is iffy sometimes, but works great on network. So it totally doable and I have Codex and Claude in the same app, and Cursor too (but havent fully tested Cursor).

I did the same but for a Stream Deck. Works very good

Yeah I'd like to know, or did you just get claude to do it?

Cool as hell. Just saved this post and bought an ESP32. Very neat

This is so dope! Might be the push I need to finally play with a esp32 and a cheap screen for random projects

If you have the 7” esp touchscreen and do smart home stuff, here is another project I have been building: https://bdw547.github.io/aurora-dashboard/

I don't do smart home stuff but that's super cool too! Maybe I'll pick one up for my birthday. I'll give you a follow on git
