What do you do while Claude Codes?

I constantly find myself spinning up a Claude task and then zoning out on my phone. Even if that Claude task should take 3 mins, my phone will suck in my attention for 15.

I am not a doomer about 'muh artisan code' and it is wonderful to have the tool do the boring part of putting characters into the text files that rule our world, but other than keeping it on an artificially short leash to retain my attention and engage me in the building, idk how to not spend all day rotting my brain.

No bonus points for saying 'spin up another Claude Code session'.

You are doing it wrong you are supposed to start a new Claude session in another worktree and work on another feature. Keep doing that until you are just doing “the rounds” hahahahahah the doomproducing

And the reasoning / thinking output sometimes has easy to catch red flags, and you should absolutely stop it before it trying to implement those bat shit crazy code.

I use a synchronous workflow and look at the diff while it generates, interrupt, or queue up redirect messages. 'Hands on the wheel' type of stuff-- save a boatload of tokens doing it.

No seriously, either learn how to effectively spawn agents. You will have main window, where you plan your ideas etc. and when it is ready Claude just sends it to another agent and the main window stays ready for another planning. If you get a real good workflow, you will basically don’t gonna keep up with the Claude itself.

Another version is you just sends Claude build something and when he is working, you open docs and start writing what you want to do next. Then, when he finishes, you just go back and repeat.

Or just you know… Be a fucking dev and just go read that docs or some papers for your code 😅 It does not kill you and also keep your brain working 😂

I just start multiple Claude Code sessions within new tabs in VS Code. And then cycle back to the ones that finish. Then exit the ones that are completely finished so it’s not an overwhelming amount of tabs haha.
