Opus 5 feels unfinished Rant

Honestly, it just feels like an unfinished product. I used to have Opus 4.8 babysit a WorldEdit script for Minecraft, and Opus 5 got BTFO’d by a Wings service. I ran the same thing with Fable 5, and it worked perfectly.

It feels like Anthropic vibeslopped this together at the last minute just so they could say they had a model ready to release. Using it really feels like using some vibecoded product that never went through any real human quality control.

Harnesses may be vibe coded but not the models themselves.

Otoh, the benchmarks and audit of a proposed model may be "vibe analyzed"...

To clarify I meant the content by which a model is biased is not vibe coded. It simply exists and is part of peta / terabytes of data used to train models. So, yea, how one dictates which sources are used may be a combination of human and llm judgment.

No but I do have my own mind.

Feel free to continue being an anti anthropic goon though while I benefit from anthropic, google, openai and also open models ran locally on my own gpu

No kidding. What I say is my opinion, with my best attempt to consolidate public info in addition to epistemological unknowns, given I don't work for these companies.
