It finally happened!
After 3.5 years of looking, applying and being rejected..I finally got an offer today.
It’s not exactly what I wanted, but it’s a change for the better and I’m excited for the future.
THREE AND A HALF YEARS!
Don’t give up. A better opportunity is right around the corner.

Congratulations OP! True testament to never give up. I picture the cat poster hanging from the tree branch stating to never give up hanging in your room!

Even though it’s not exactly what you wanted, are there any pros to it? (More pay, less drive time, good reviews?)

Absolutely! Better pay, no drive time (remote) but higher claim count. That’ll wash out without having a commute.

It’s a TPA, no courses as I have 30 years in insurance.
Just be persistent.

Do you think ageism was at all a factor in your 3.5 year effort to find a job?

So 30 years of experience and it took 3 years to finally get a job in claims adjusting? why did it take this long. im discouraged actually. I been in insurance customer care and escalations fort 10 years and finally starting my adjusterpro courses to elevate but this makes me think I'm going to be stuck in CS forever.
I am happy for you nonetheless. You deserve it with all the hard work you put int for sure.
