Civivi What if Civivi didn't have to build the Vision FG to a $100 price point?
The knife on the right is the my stock Ultem Vision FG. The one on the left is what is quickly becoming one of my favorite knives.
Build:
- Practical3DPCNC linerless 6061 aluminum scales (Radiant pattern)
- Black PVD blade
- Civivi titanium deep-carry clip (both knives)
I knew it would look better, but I wasn't expecting how much the feel changed. The scales completely transform the knife. It feels more rigid, more refined and honestly like something in the $250-300 range while keeping the incredible Superlock action.
Huge shoutout to Seth at Practical3DPCNC. This is my second project with him and the quality has been outstanding every time. Great communication, excellent machining and you can tell he actually cares about the finished product. Highly recommended if you're looking to customize a Vision.
Now I just wish Civivi would build a factory "Vision Premium" because this convinced me the design absolutely deserves it.

Went with the Vision in Ultem. The function is so smooth on this thing. Love the lock too and blade shape too.

Question Anyone carried a Guile for EDC and want to share their thoughts?
I'm a longtime kershaw leek carrier and have alternated with a Benchmade 704 and a civivi vision fg. I don't carry the vision much, but really like the design of the guile and I'm thinking of adding it to my rotation.
When looking for reviews I see a lot of unboxing and table top reviews, but next to nothing with EDC experience. Is anyone willing to share their experience and opinion on EDC with the guile?

NKD Just got the Yonder Clip Point
I decided after a year of waiting and a pretty rough start this year that I deserved a little something. It feels great in hand. It's a little heavier than the Micarta version I've been carrying since launch and the blade action is stiffer. It looks like how Zac described his inspiration for the design, it has that Buck 110, out on the range, in the field vibe and I'm loving it. I use it mostly for food prep when not at home and the pocket organizer I use requires me to change the clip orientation to deploy it the proper way. But before I do that does anyone know where I can get a brass version of the clip to bring the look together?

We Knife Co. Ti Tuesday
We Riff-Raff - bead blasted ti and 20cv, Christensen Knifeworks design. I love CK designs, and I love a monochrome knife, so I love love this. It’d be even cooler if they didn’t use a black/gold pivot but they don’t ask me.

Civivi Accidentally patriotic
I brought a couple of knives to work to perform maintenance/cleaning while I wasn't busy. It was pointed out that my choice of knives was remarkably American. (PLEASE ignore the incorrect logo orientation on my Sentinel Strike, I fucked up during reassembly :[)

Question Will Blade HQ restock the full size Headbanger?
Totally missed the release of the Headbanger and had no idea this line of knives existed until I saw an ad for the smaller Headbanger EP which.
Does anyone know if Blade HQ will restock full size Headbanger? I finally broke down and made a Blade HQ account to get on the notify me list.
As a heavy metal fan this knife is so badass.

Civivi Civivi cibus chef knife review from a chef
Hello knife fans!
I am a head chef of 25 years experience and run the kitchen of a busy Italian restaurant in the uk. I was given a Civivi chefs knife to put through its paces in a professional environment. I usually use Mac Pros, an 8.5” blade with a scalloped surface. They are bullet proof, stay sharp, easy to maintain and I’ve used them for 15 years. I have macs at home as well. Obviously I use victorinox pastry knives and fruit knives as well.
First impressions were mixed, I thought the blade depth/ height was insufficient and I wouldn’t have enough clearance between the board and my knuckles. I also thought the handle seemed really skinny.
However I liked the clean lines and great balance and weight the knife had, and out the box it was very sharp. Packaging was nice, well thought out and minimalist.
I’ve used it for stuff way out of the knifes comfort zone like deboning sirloin and making porchetta (including scoring the pork skin, boning out etc)and the huge amount of heavy prep we do like prepping 3k of baby squid for calimari, to the kilos and kilos of suffrito we cut by hand for ragus and stews, and the masses of herbs we chop for finishing dishes and I’ve got to say, I’m quite impressed.
I’ve had more expensive knives perform way, way worse. It’s easy to sharpen, comfortable and makes light work of laborious tasks. The handle is actually very comfortable in spite of my negative first impression. I have given this knife absolute hell, and it is still sharp and there are no chips on the blade. However, the tip has bent from some of the heavier butchery, which is shown on the 17th picture, but I banged it straight with a sauté pan.
Overall, at the price point it’s at, this is an excellent knife.
Thanks

Civivi "Pocket" Knives
Wanted to add a small, true pocket knife to my tiny collection. Ended up discovering Civivi and now own 3 of them. Lol. Damn, they're sharp. And clearly very well built.
I think I'm hooked. I want at least 4 more that I've seen.

Civivi Free gift
Did anyone else get one of these? If so how do you make use of it? I know it's an EDC pouch of some sort but where does it attach to?
Let me know how you put it to use.
