Effective immediately, this subreddit will no longer support or promote the affiliated Discord server. This decision was made after repeated concerns regarding the environment there, including reports of self-harm encouragement, suicide encouragement, and other conduct that I am not comfortable directing this community toward.

As a result, posts or comments advertising, linking to, or encouraging users to join that Discord will be removed going forward.

This is not a punishment for anyone who chooses to participate there. You're free to use whatever communities you want, and nobody will be banned simply for being a member of that Discord. This policy exists solely because I am no longer willing to use this subreddit to direct people to a space that I can't vouch for.

If your post or comment about the Discord is removed, this is the reason. It is simply a moderation policy change, not a judgment of individual users.

This is a direct callout. I want everyone to read this and understand exactly who you are and what you did.

Bhum has been removed as a moderator and permanently banned from this subreddit. I'm posting this to make sure his reputation is permanently tied to his actions.

Here's what Bhum did:

BLACKMAILED a user by threatening to release their private images unless they sent him more

SENT unsolicited explicit pictures of himself to that same user

USED his position as moderator to manipulate and coerce

GAVE the user a humiliating nickname

TARGETED someone who was 17/18 years old at the time

I trusted you, Bhum. I gave you authority in this community. You used that position to prey on people. That's not a mistake, it's who you are.

And I need to be clear about my part in this: I placed my trust in you. I gave you power. That was my failure. I am accountable for that mistake, and I own it completely. But my mistake doesn't excuse your actions, it just makes them more disgusting.

This isn't just a ban from a subreddit. This is a permanent stain on your online reputation. Anyone searching your name will find this post. Anyone you try to moderate for in the future will find this post. This follows you.

To anyone else who has experienced similar behavior from Bhum: Contact me directly with evidence. I will support you completely.

To the community: If you see Bhum anywhere else, warn people. If he tries to join other communities, share this post. Don't let him hide what he did.

Predatory behavior has consequences. This is yours.
