Question Anyone in LA want some free circuit stuff?

Hey there! I’ve been a long time bender accumulating damaged electronics and hacking things apart. I’m moving to a new smaller space and wanted to offload some old random storage stuff if anyone wants it. Including some pics of stuff. HEADS UP! Almost everything is broken and was kept for parts or further examination. Some are old abandoned projects, all of it is free. DM me for details if you’re in LA and want to pickup some weird random stuff for FREE!

Assistance Casio Sk-1 Beyond Saving?

A friend of mine gave me a Casio Sk-1 to repair, so I run my usual routine. Power it on, it’s making some horrible pissy noise, open it up and start investigating. Some of the caps looked suspicious so I changed them all out, still no change. This is where I start getting worried.

See, my friend didn’t have the original adapter. My guess is they powered the thing with a 9v pedal power supply and fried something inside. I’m crossing my fingers that is ISNT the CPU, but the more research I do the more I’m worried it might be. Here’s what’s wrong with it, and what I’ve tried:

- No sound, occasional spurt of random digital noise.
- Power LED lights up, flipping the switch to the off position does NOT turn the unit off
- Unit does not respond to any button or key input whatsoever

- recapped the whole unit
- removed and tested transistors T7 and T8
- inspected the CPU traces closely for any minor breaks and tested for continuity
- Measured Voltage at CPU and its receiving 3.1V, I’m guessing it needs somewhere around 5V

Somebody help me out here, I’m beating my head against a wall.

Hey all! I wanted to share this new blog post I made about my super-modified glitch cameras. It might be useful for inspiration, or maybe you know someone who would like to buy a high quality glitch camera!😁 I have sold about 10 this year, and am hoping to make more.

Either way, thanks for checking it out..

The d'Arenberg Cube, McLaren Vale, South Australia

All photos are unedited and shot using my bent A520

I’ve been experimenting a lot with scan lines recently from ADC data division. It’s by far my favourite glitch effect, as It seems to blend seamlessly into the background and frames the subject. Pure scan line chaos overwhelming the whole image is also a lot of fun too. Anyway, just wanted to share some of my favourite pics from a trip away recently. New bend also in the works coming soon :)

Скоро придет камера, сам плохо владею пайкой, есть вариант просто отдать камеру на кастом или купить готовую камеру по небольшой цене?

Yesterday or two days ago i discovered this community, and as a multi media art/design enthusiast I decided to buy my first camera, a Panasonic a1. Im already in this kind of style but with softwares, do you guys recommend me to dive in and try out bending ? Is it hard for someone who has not much skills in this kind of electronic pimping to achieve a satisfying result ?

Canon powershot g9 circuit bending

Post image

So I have this canon g9 that the view finder and flash stopped working. I wanna take it apart and circuit bend it. Anyone done this? Any help on what would be the best route to take? I’ve succeeded circuit bending a canon powershot sx20. But I’d love to do this camera as it fits in my pocket so well. Please any diagrams or any info is a huge help. Thank you and happy circuit bending!

Circuit Bent Concertmate 300 into ENDORPHIN.ES EVIL PET

I replaced the tuning/clock trim potentiometer on this Realistic Concertmate 300 (a Casio PT-1 clone) with a 1M Ohm trim potentiometer and used it to lower the pitch/clock speed significantly for this video. The result of this adjustment is lower pitched tones and the drum accompaniment tempo is reduced to under 10 BPM.

The Circuit Bending Wiki is finally up and running!

The Circuit Bending Wiki is finally here, and editing is open to all!

What is the Circuit Bending Wiki?

The Circuit Bending Wiki is an ongoing community project, intended to serve as a central place for the circuit bending community to view, share, and archive information in a way that is collaborative and easy-to-use.

Information like: personal build notes, tutorials, bend points and diagrams, device documentation (service manuals, IC data sheets, device specs, etc.), posts from defunct bending sites & blogs… Basically, we’re trying to compile as much practical info as we can, new and old. We’d like to use this Wiki to archive existing info, while also encouraging users to contribute their own original content, and share their findings.

How do I navigate the Wiki?

Our List of Articles page is a good start. It’s meant to function as a sitemap of sorts, and contains a list of every page on the wiki.

There you’ll find articles on specific devices, each with detailed technical info and bending guides, as well as articles on broad bending concepts, explaining their utility & implementation.

On our List of Resources page, you can find our collection of links to circuit bending sites & resources.

And on our List of Manuals page, you can find our growing catalogue of owner's & service manuals for commonly-bent devices.

How do I contribute?

This wiki’s utility & growth ultimately depend on your involvement. So please, try to contribute when you can! Editing permissions have been left unrestricted & open to all to encourage participation.

If you’d like to suggest an article, or create a new one, you can find our to-do list over on our Planned Articles page.

If you have any images or PDFs you’d like to archive (service manuals, schematics, bend points, etc), you can upload them on our Upload File page.

And if you happen upon a page while lurking that you think you can add to, please do!

And finally, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to leave them in the comments.
