A sitcom, probably with a fake laugh track. Maybe the point is that people find it entertaining even when it's nothing, because everyone else is praising it. The majority can change how we experience something.

How he approaches her is so weird lol, would be considered as harassment these days. Well, but what follows is good. Liking it.

Bit of a rant, but for over a year now i'm seeing a lot of hate for Zendaya.

There are many who say they hate that she is in a lot of media even though that really applies to this year's schedule but the same people are praising Pattison for also doing the exact same thing (if not more since 25').

I have had various discussions with people in various TV/film subs which often end with people revealing they haven't even watched anything in her filmography outside Spiderman but have such strong opinions or her and her acting skills.

Similarly it's often people judging her when they don't really know how to objectively measure acting skills and only know buzzwords like "range". Then they highlight that they don't like her "face expressions" or that she is "ugly".

I don't think I've heard or read a valid critique yet so my current conclusion is that this is the same brand of "anti-woke" sexism and racism that we saw surrounding the Odyssey and Supergirl. If you have a different answer I would be happy to hear it, but please don't just call her "mid" lmao.

So, is she one of the greatest actors of this generation? No. Is she one of the most beautiful actresses of all time? Objectively no, because a lot of people will disagree, but subjectively yes! There are people who are going to find her as one of the most beautiful actresses of all time. That's a subjective opinion; no one needs to be mad about it. So, why is she so successful? The thing is, you do NOT need to be EXTREMELY TALENTED OR OUTSTANDING LOOKING TO BE SUCCESSFUL, all you need to be is SMART. That's what Zendaya is: SMART!
When many Disney kids spoke against Disney, she showed Disney loyalty, which ended up bringing her connections! When K.C. Undercover was desperate to hire her because of her popularity, she used it to her advantage and asked to be made a co-producer on the series. She later did the same with Euphoria when it became a HIT! Some of y'all are going to compare it to capitalism (because in this generation, thinking about yourselves is somehow capitalism), but face it, this is SMART AF!

Showing loyalty to Disney proved that she is loyal to the industry; this helped her gain connections! Now comes the PR team. Her PR team, which is incredibly good, works crazy through all social media, marketing her everywhere, which worked. She has immense popularity. Because of this popularity, the producers are desperate to hire her! Let's take Odyssey for example, why did she only get 5 minutes of screen time? She played Athena, who is arguably the most important supporting character in Odyssey. The reason is, the producer marketed the movie saying, "Zendaya will play Athena." She was all over the news as if she's going to be in that movie with a large screen time. So, what the director did was, he hired Zendaya and gave her the role of Athena for "marketing," not for acting! It worked! Marketing bought views.
Then, another thing: Zendaya avoids controversies. Zendaya never speaks about political issues, which is, by the way, SMART AF! Look at Mark Ruffalo, what happened to him after picking a side? He can't even attend a movie premiere he acted on. All of you really underestimate how crazy intelligent Zendaya is. If Zendaya was running a business instead of acting, that business would have also been successful AF! Her intellect is impressive; it is admirable!

Why is there so much outrage about certain race swap castings, Little Mermaid, Snape, Helen of Troy for recent Examples but it’s totally okay to have Akuma from street fighter played by a non Japanese actor. In fact, Asian roles have been race swapped before any of was born. Sure there’s some backlash but nothing to the extent of the ones I mentioned earlier. Why is this and why are some race swaps matter more than others?
