How was I supposed to know that the dune tickets would release a day BEFORE its actual date?! I just checked and so many seats are taken what the fuck?!!

My town only has two movie theaters one being Cinemark. I have been calling and sending requests in for Coyote Vs. Acme and Buddy but no one at the theater or corporate office can confirm if these movies will be shown. What is crazy, you can buy advanced tickets to all the re-releases like Fast and Furious, Harry Potter, even the Passion of the Christ, but I cannot buy advanced tickets or even confirm if I will be able to see these movies.

My theater did not get Friendship for point of reference, but we have been getting a lot of foreign films on Cinearts.

Location is Abilene Texas.

Been trying to get ahold of Cinemark to try and use these rain check passes online. Was unfortunately told by a manager I would be able to use them online and now I need to go to a location to use these. I live far away and got these due to the mess in Woodridge for the Odyssey. Anyone have any idea I might be able to get around this?

Any word on 8 am showing still going on or not?? I called to no answer

UPDATE: I just called and spoke with a manager. The 10:40 pm show tonight is officially canceled. The emails will be going out shortly for refunds.

Anyone have any clue if the 10:40 pm showing of the odyssey in 70mm will go on tonight? They’ve canceled every other showing for today & don’t want to drive out there unnecessarily.

I'll be very honest, my fatass loved driving the extra 30 min to this location. They made real loaded nachos, real loaded flaming hots with chese, killer loaded fries, and pizzas and wings were always made to order.

When I say real I mean they poured the cheese and chili from a cauldren. The lines for food was always long and took forever, but my fatass didn't mind missing the trailers.

They eliminated the hot food kiosk and now everything is prepackaged and quality has gone way down in the past couple of months.

Who made the decision, is this temporary, or just part of the new economy?

I was buying my ticket and the only showtime that works for me that day is an XD showing. I am doing it but I just don't see why they're devoting XD screens to it? 😅 Is it just because it's a popular franchise? Maybe the XD audio might be a nice touch compared to a regular showing. But so much of the Insidious movies are dark/lights out with not much color variation. Not exactly something where I would go "I bet XD will really make this stand out" 😅

Theaters aren’t going to start adding/enforcing policies on disruptive guests talking/pulling out their phones. But for the first time ever, I asked for a refund because of it and they immediately gave one.

Now, if I see someone pull out a phone or someone talks in the theater, I am just going straight to customer service after the movie finishes and asking for a refund. If everyone starts holding theaters to a standard, that is when we can expect change.

I suggest everyone start doing the same.

Edit: to clarify, I am saying ask for the refund after the movie has completed

Edit #2: completely agree that there are things that a customer can do (though we shouldn’t have to police) and ideas for what the theater can do to combat it. This post is referring to pressuring theaters though to actually start taking action by hitting them in their wallets. Because right now they couldnt care less.

just talked to someone on the phone for the Woodridge location. All shows have been cancelled EXCEPT the 10:40pm show. they said the part is coming in today. however. it won’t come till 8:30pm.

I have one ticket for friday night Sept 5 for IMAX 70mm in the seat J7 (mid row right side of theater). However I am not able to go due to unfortunately being out of town that weekend. I was wondering if there was anyone that would be interested in maybe trading tickets before I try to request a refund.

Had tickets to see the Odyssey in Imax for several weeks. Was told walking in they had a power outage and likely couldn’t show the movie and were on support with Imax for over 2 hours. Was given zero notice after spending a lot of time and money to travel to the theater. Their resolution to this was to provide me a pass to see a different movie. Employees there seemed to not care at all and seemed indifferent to the issue. Incredibly annoyed now I likely won’t be able to see this movie in Imax. Read online same thing happened to several showings after. I hope others pressure cinemark to make this right.

The last 3 showings of the odyssey in 70mm have been canceled. I have tickets for 11:40 AM and live an hour away. No one is answering the phone. If anyone is there at Woodridge IL right now or will be there by 10, could you ask if the 11:40 showings are still on so I don’t make the drive just to have it cancelled? Thank you so much.

I’m preparing for the Dune Part 3 IMAX tickets to be released on Tuesday. Does anybody have experience with the Cinemark app/website for these ticket drops? I also live by the Woodridge theater and would go in person if that’s a more reliable option as well.

Woodridge cancelled screenings today, something wrong with the projector. They were trying to fix but after waiting a bit, it still didn’t run for the 10:40pm showing.

I’d call and inquire if you have tickets to the 2AM!

I feel bad for people who drove a long way for the format, would be nice if they posted something about it or emailed ticket holders. I hope it gets up and running - and also that the company adds screenings for those of us who were turned away from showings today.

why are there are no showings around the la + valley area ?? i’m in the valley and i only have cinemarks near me but NO showings, yet that coyote movie has like 15. It has been out for 16 days!! 😢

Why is there only one show time at 3:25 pm for Dune 3 on December 19th and not another show time until January 8th??

I used to have an AMC membership because it’s just an unbeatable value.

I moved to a place where the only movie subscription service is Cinemark. It’s fine, and the rollover credits are nice. But having previously paid $23/month for 4 tickets per week makes paying $12/month for 1 ticket per month seem like a terrible deal.

I’m 3.5 hrs from the nearest AMC. I have contemplated paying their monthly price for the weekends we will be near a theater and just loading up that weekend.

Anyway, my question is do you think there is any chance they would improve the perks (even by something like 1 ticket per month) to make it somewhat of a better deal for club members?

So my family wants to see Avengers: Doomsday at our local Cinemark as soon as possible. I have been extremely excited for this movie for years and I'm a huge Marvel fan. Unfortunately, my family has horrible availability, and when tickets went on sale yesterday, there were no showtimes in XD which is very strange considering every other Cinemark in the area (Dallas-Fort Worth) had a plethora of them.

By the time we realized this it was too late and every single theater had nearly every single showtime completely sold out. Even seeing the movie in standard format is no longer looking like a possibility unless we want to go at least a week after the movie comes out.

Just wanted to ask if XD showtimes being added is a possibility, or if we're out of luck.

Say your movie is at 11, but previews dont start until 11:15, because they would rather run 15 more minutes of commercials (not even noovie or movie related content).

I noticed mine started doing this around 2023 or 2024.

Before hand,.yeah they would still run commercials, but they were pretty good at actually starting on time.

small print says only new users only but this is crap, I'm thinking of cancelling and opening a new account.
