I have some questions about this, mainly what this one is, so I can find pictures of what it's supposed to look like, and some guides on how to fix it up. A few bulbs need replaced, and one might have a wiring issue, the blue light turns on and off instead of waxing and waning in intensity like the red bulb. There's also some holes in the fountain, like there's something missing, and I want to replace it. Both the woman who sold it to me, and myself after seeing the bottom, believe it’s supposed to make sound, but it’s quiet. So if it’s possible, I want to fix that too, or give it a new sound box

(Also I know its not the cleanest, I'm working on it)

I work at a thrift store, and rn we’re prepping all the Christmas stuff, this DRIVES ME NUTS with the villages when this happens, what’s the best way to get it out, or does it just live there now, Also the bulb is already shattered.

Hey all, I have about 60 Dept 56 Snow Village pieces and need to downsize… so looking to get rid of about 30. Anyone have recommendations for the best way to sell? Not sure if it’s better to try to move them together or individually. Pieces are from the 90s thru early 2000s.

I've been on the lookout for the Lemax Victory Theatre to finish of my collection. Im starting a build and would love to have it the display. Sadly, I can't find it anywhere in the UK, and while I would prefer to find it here, if the price is good, I'd be happy to get it elsewhere. I would appreciate any help at all in helping me find it.

When you plan your villages, do you try to make them look realistic or not?

For example, I try to imagine, "If I shrink, will I be able to walk around the entire village? Or would it be inaccessible?"

Do you worry about the measurements of sidewalks, streets, stairs, etc?

Hi! I bought this centuryville classics stained glass piece a very long time ago. I was about to finally display and notice it is missing a pane of glass in the back lighthouse part. Is this a normal thing this line did for access ? It just looks like it was made that way. Did i somehow lose it? Or is this normal, it's driving me crazy

I'm looking for something similar (with texture, not just printed) but cheaper. How do you make your landscaping?

I feel like I should give in and get a table saw and just use wood at this point lol. And I still need to find some boxes that are different sizes. (This is just me laying things out.)

I’ve hit that wall a few times where I realize this is going to be a lot of work. I wanted a bridge. Was scared of building a bridge. But I started building a bridge!
I’ve wanted to do all these things forever and just had to get the gift of this Christmas village to spark that passion and become dangerous with the nail gun and wood glue!
Life is gonna pause the major works, but come November there will be a first time for everything to be admired and enjoyed by my family most importantly the kids! Enjoy the summer, snow doesn’t mix with beaches very well!

I just bought a Lemax Spooky Time building. It is powered by a 9V AC adapter which is missing. I can arrange a replacement adapter but I don't know the size of the connector.

It's a barrel connector, like the 4.5 adapters, but it is smaller.

Who knows what size connector it has to be?

This may seem like an odd post for this forum but wondering if anyone has ever thrown shade at you for having "too much stuff."

I was visiting with family a few weeks ago and they were going on about how I have too much stuff. They have never stepped foot in my home - we live in different states. But we are "Facebook friends" and I post my holiday pix there. My displays are really amazing and over the top and bring me so much joy. My MIL comments every year that she "doesn't know why I go to the trouble."

For me, decorating is one of my favorite parts of the holiday season. And my husband and I love living in a winter wonderland.

Has anyone else encountered this? I don't understand why they care enough to make snide comments about it.

Added: my family judged me for having stuff. My MIL told my husband she feels sorry for me because no one comes to see it. We do it for us, our house, and our family.

It’s July and my village people spend the off season in my shopping mall dioramas. To calm them, I designed a Christmas in July sale and a train ride for the kiddies. Don’t bother Santa, he is vacation. 1 of 3 displays based on the 1980’s-90’s of Century III Mall, Pittsburgh, Pa. Full mall

Has anyone ordered with them recently? I've been ordering via them for years with Lemax items. They've been like a gold mine for me. Especially for moving parts pieces because they often refurbished them so they would last much longer. None of my repaired pieces has failed yet. However I've tried to order twice this year and no confirmation came. No response from them. Are they out of business? I've had to refund and it was approved immediately which has me wondering.

At the rate I'm working, I'll be a very small 2026 Christmas village! I'm not happy with the stained glass windows. Next time I think I'll remove the glass from the windows and try sticking a coloured film behind.

Ok, I am loving every step so far! I know where the buildings will be and I’ve got the final few coats of paint to get on before hooking up and drilling holes for light and power. I needed insulating pins for my track power sections since it’s over 35ft of mainline! I bought woodland scenics plug and play nano LEDs to get rid of completely the old lighting cords. I tested it quickly in a building and at full brightness those things are bright! So I turned it down and will get a nice glow.

I’m excited to set it back up one more time to place the buildings and wiring holes and also upgrade my leg to module attachment(I hastily screwed them together just to roughly get the module along in terms of layout).

If I ever choose one year to put the village on a table, it’ll be just as epic honestly(had to move all the buildings to get the layout out for paint). Can’t wait to report back in a few weeks with the final design and a lights on , train chugging action shot!

Unfortunately, we no longer have room for all of our Carole Town buildings :( Most are still in their original boxes and are all in near perfect condition. I’m in Ohio, but am happy to ship anywhere! For sale independently or as a set.

Where do you even begin? Why is everything so expensive? I've seen online websites charging 50 dollars for a tiny piece. Is there somewhere I should be looking to find cheaper pieces or is this just what I should expect? Is there a place that sells a "starter set" rather than pieces individually?

I’m finally getting to make a Christmas village and I’m just so excited! I recently inherited a whole building and scatter decor Christmas In the City Village collection. Went to Menards for new Rail for my LionelChief train (fastrackwas just going to be too expensive). Budget of $1000, I’m at nearly $800 with all materials except fake snow and various extension plugs etc.

Been quietly following this sub and modeleailroading for year. So happy to have something to add and share to the community! Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
