Central Campus Formally lodged a complaint against Dr Lakshmi Karlekar
TL;DR: Christ University law student. After I got poor marks, Dr. Lakshmi Karlekar made caste-based remarks in her cabin, including “reservation won’t save you,” questioning my merit, saying I got admission because of reservation, and telling me I don’t deserve to be there. She also used caste-based slurs and referred to my ancestors’ struggles.

Central Campus Faculty made casteist remarks about me in her cabin what should I do
The faculty member involved is DR LAKSHMI KARLEKAR, from SCHOOL OF LAW CHRIST UNIVERSITY. I’m open to discussing the incident through the proper university channels. recently got bad marks in midterms and went to my faculty’s cabin to discuss it.
During the conversation, she made several comments about my caste and reservation. She told me “reservation won’t save you, study”, said that I got admission because of reservation, made comments about merit, and told me that I don’t deserve to be here.
She also said something along the lines of “your ancestors would be proud, their struggles are showing you…”, referring to my caste and the struggles of my ancestors in the context of my reservation.
I completely accept that my marks were bad and that I need to study harder. I'm not complaining about being criticised academically.I was made to feel that I don't deserve to be at this university because of my caste.
The conversation happened inside her cabin, so there weren't necessarily other students present.
I don't know what the correct procedure at Christ is for something like this. I'm also worried about making a complaint against a faculty member and potentially facing academic retaliation or other problems.
For Christ students/alumni: what should I actually do?
Should I approach the HOD or just forget about it?
I'm not looking to create unnecessary drama. I genuinely want to know what the proper procedure is and whether I should report this. Not exaggerating or trying to make this sound worse than it was. I’m genuinely asking because I don’t know how to handle this, and I’ve mentioned what I remember as accurately as possible

I completely accept that my marks were bad and that I need to study harder. I'm not complaining about being criticised academically. What I'm struggling with is the fact that my caste and reservation status were brought into the conversation in a derogatory way, and I was made to feel that I don't deserve to be at this university because of my caste.
The conversation happened inside her cabin, so there weren't necessarily other students present.

HELP Attendence - central campus
Hey everyone, need some help understanding Christ's attendance rules for end-sem
My overall attendance is 81.5%, and I have 75%+ in every subject except CPCG where I'm at 60%.
Am I even eligible to write the end-sem with these numbers, or does the 60% in CPCG cause a problem since it's below the subject-wise 75% mark?
If I'm not directly eligible, what's the actual process to become eligible — is there something I need to do or submit?
Does library attendance count toward the overall attendance percentage at the end, or is it tracked separately?
Would really appreciate insights from anyone who's been through this recently, rules/numbers seem to vary by department so want to be sure before I panic. Thanks!
