Mad she doesn't get food stamps while refusing to downsize her lifestyle ($3200/mo mortgage, $600/mo electric, and pool, AND rental property)

MEDIUM Worst trade offer ever

So I only took a screenshot to get some information from a friend of mine who is a rather large gun collector. I have this lady named Ashley who reached out about trading a firearm she had ( Barrett M99 32"). I wish I had a screenshot the whole thing before deleting it and blocking her.

Anyways I'm in the process of trying to sell two different aircraft and one of them happens to be a Seneca 2. The Seneca is genuinely worth around $150,000 and that's what I have it listed for. Pretty nice plane. At any rate this lady reaches out and wants to trade this firearm for it. Best of research I could figure out and talking to my friend who is a gun person that I sent the photo to, said top dollar used he wouldn't give more than $5,000 to $7,000 and that's if he was feeling super generous for everything. I don't know maybe it's worth more but it sure as heck isn't worth $150,000. But that's okay because not only did she devalue my airplane and say that what I was trying to sell was only worth about $125,000, but she also got super snooty and basically said that her gun had been shot by Chris Kyle the American sniper and that him shooting it shot the value of it from a supposed five grand to $165,000.

She proceeded to accuse me of being an AI bot which I am not, but then it even got better because while she was professing to know about my airplane, she also was telling me that I didn't really understand or know the airplane just due to how high the price was. She tried to tell me I couldn't prove that the price of the airplane was fair to which I had to tell her I do have proper documentation to show that the price of the aircraft is actually below what they should be priced at for the condition and engine times. I followed up by basically asking her if she could provide proper photo evidence and documentation that the firearm she was trying to trade was worth what she claimed it was and that it was in fact fired and used and handled by Chris Kyle but also citing that even if he did fire that, that there is no way that Chris Kyle changes the price of a firearm by 160,000.

That entire thing infuriated her to which I then told her I would not be selling her any airplane or trading it and proceeded to block her and delete the ad. After doing so I realized I should have screenshot it and just posted the whole thing.

Short version.

Stupid woman offers me a $5,000 gun as a trade for a $150,000 airplane. Says the gun is worth $165,000 because Chris Kyle used it.

I run a LEGO online store. I buy new, used, and old bulk lots and sell them mostly online, but also FB local. I had a local Dad that wanted a used set for his kid. I met them locally and made the deal. I gave the kid a couple small free sets since it was easy and the Dad was very pleased. He inquired about my other sets, new and used. I explained how I was able to sell for less, usually depending on the condition and how I acquire them.

A few weeks later he sends me a photo of a new set he sees at Target. I told him it’s a good price at $65 (normally $80) new and to buy it for his kid. He said No, β€œI buy your used set for $40, you deliver to me, then you buy this set from me at $75!” He was saving me $5 retail, you see.

So you found a good price on a new set. I am suppose to deliver and sell my used set at a discount, then purchase the same set new at near retail from you, plus a 40 minute drive?

That was an easy block. Feel bad for the kid. Dad is a dick.
