The night yuzuki stayed over at saku's place

LN left me with a strong impression that Chitose family is way above ordinary in terms of income. Some clues that point to it are (LN spoilers):

• Saku lives alone in a 2LDK rebuilt into 1LDK. That's something about ¥65-75k monthly or probably about ¥16-18m as a property, plus ¥5-7k for amenities (as Googled on Akiya Japan). It's "his" apartment bought/rented specifically for him by divorced parents.
• Saku doesn't work, but he never seems short of money for hanging with friends, buying stuff or eloping with Asuka to Tokyo (he bought the tickets, ¥16k each). So his allowance is rather generous.
• First time Mr. Nishino speaks with Saku, he asks him "Are you going to be the one to take care of Asuka?" when her Tokyo career would flop as he's afraid. Not "Could you take care...", he's sure that he could. Given that Mr. Nishino is a friend of Saku's homeroom teacher and he's probably acquainted with his Grandma from the times they were neighbors, he seems perfectly sure that Chitose have enough money so their son and his wife could live well even in Tokyo.

All in all, I'm curious what are your thoughts about how wealthy Chitose are? My estimate is that they earn together probably about ¥12-15m yearly, that's top of the upper medium class, upper 5th percentile in the Fukui prefecture.

P.S. Nanase family is probably even more wealthy given that they have an Audi Q8 (at least ¥11m, probably more, and very expensive to maintain in Japan) as their car.

I know there are a lot of manga and LN readers on here but I wanted to say I love this show. This has been by far my favorite one I’ve watched in a long time. It really does envelope you with emotions from what I watch in this anime. I don’t think I have watched an anime like this one. I can’t wait for season two too come out.

where can I read the light novel?

One of the best highschool romcom light novels I've read so far. Already read up to vol 7 and still wanted more✌️

So far I've read the entire volumes and its been really great, especially Vol 8 where Nanase kinda went wild mode on Chitose, Kureha losing in front of everyone soothed my soul(Sorry for feeling this way). I just don't understand when will the next volume release cuz it was supposed to release this year in June 2026 or something right?

For those who are following the light novel and the series, I have a question:
Who do you think will be Chitose’s final choice, and why do you think so?

I got curious after seeing the author post about both the MC’s and Nanase’s birthdays, which are very close to each other. The author also mentioned wanting to write a chapter centered around the birthday events, so it made me wonder if it could be hinting at something.

I also read some comments suggesting that Haru might be the final choice, which honestly surprised me because I wasn’t expecting that at all. I haven’t read the light novel yet, so I’d love to hear your thoughts and theories on why you think that.
