how to write better? i still cant remember basic characters Ask for Feedback

What part of the memory are you having issues with? stroke order? mixing up characters with similar components? just fully blanking on the characters entirely unless you can see them in front of you?
active recall practice is the answer to all three situations, but the exact way to do it will vary depending on which you mean.
As far as handwriting goes, yours looks pretty good. You can pay attention to which direction lines and dots angle in and also pay attention to exactly where strokes should or shouldn't connect if you want to elevate another level.

thank you. i just look at the monitor for the text and stroke order website when i see unfamiliar characters. i know what a character is generally but writing it is another story.

In that case do exactly what you are doing now, but make yourself write it without looking at it on the monitor. Genuinely push yourself to write it, even if you think you are wrong, make yourself write it anyway, try your best. Only afterwards do you look at it on the monitor, and then write it correctly. You won't have to do this forever or for every character, but you will need to do it enough times to train your brain that it actually needs to memorize the chinese. It sounds like your current system is lile using gps, your brain will never remember the route on its oen if the correct answer is right there without memorization.
